I was really disappointed. The first night I was looking at a parking lot so it was disappointing

My booking was mixed up. I was told I was confirmed for a Lakeview when I arrived. I was in a room overlooking the parking lot. I was really upset. I spent all that money chose your property as I could’ve chosen any other ones on the lake in Kelowna came highly recommended by Some NHL family members and when I arrived, I was in the heritage building like I said overlooking the parking lot. I tried to explain to them that I wasn’t trying to be bougie but my home on Vancouver Island I have an ocean view so there’s no way I would’ve booked not at Lakeview so my first night was a total waste of money and then when they had another area available over at the other property, they moved me over the next day and the first night that I arrived. I also called them and told them I would be arriving late as my daughter ended up in the hospital.

A lovely relaxing indulgent getaway for 2 friends
Pros:

Access to both pools and hot tubs in the hotel and Manteo resort , reception cider in pm, ambience and location of hotel

Cons:

The booking information did not note the resort fee of $30 on top of parking outside for $15 per night

Gorgeous view of the lake is especially warming in November.
Pros:

Location is superb and the view from the window is muy bueno. I appreciate the workmanship and care that has gone into keeping the 100 year old resort looking its best. The pictures from the past are pleasing and the row boat above the eating area is a plus. Gorgeous view of the lake is especially warming in November.

Great except for the door entry issues
Pros:

The room was great Bathroom fantastic great shower and very clean

Cons:

My key wouldn't work for pool room and had to get a janitor to let me in
The last night my key didn't get me in through the Arms building were our room is and I had to go to the hotel. lobby

Room furniture is dated and has lost support. Terrible constant mechanical droning type noise which was annoying and found it hard to fall asleep

Goed gelegen, leuk hotel!
Pros:

Helaas kwamen we later aan dan de bedoeling was, hierdoor hebben we niet kunnen genieten van de restaurants en alle andere amenities. Daarom geen perfecte score. De locatie was super handig voor ons. De kamers brandschoon!

Pros:

The marina location was nice and the view of the lake was nice.

Cons:

Our experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing and far from what was advertised or expected. From the moment we arrived, the issues started piling up:
• Room Condition: The room itself had a noticeable stain on the seat, setting a poor tone right away.
• Amenities Misleading: The hotel advertised tea and coffee service in the room, yet there were no tea bags or a kettle provided. When I asked about this, I was told to go to the restaurant. Only after insisting did a staff member reluctantly hand over a few tea bags—still without a kettle. I had to specifically request one later.
• Housekeeping Issues: On the first night, housekeeping didn’t even service our room. When they finally did on the third day (after I asked at the front desk), they failed to replace all the towels and left us with a roll of the cheapest, roughest toilet paper imaginable. Completely unacceptable for the price we paid.
• Parking & Service Failures: On the second day, there was no parking available in the lot and no valet staff in sight. The front desk’s solution was to send me to another parking lot, leaving me wandering around for 10 minutes trying to sort it out.
• Cleanliness of Common Areas: Old food plates were left sitting in the hallway for three days straight, attracting fruit flies—a disgusting and unhygienic sight.
• Overall Service: Staff service throughout our stay was dismissive and unhelpful, with every request feeling like an inconvenience to them.

This was supposed to be a special weekend celebrating my wife’s 40th birthday, but instead it turned into a frustrating and unpleasant experience. For the price charged, the quality of service and standards were shockingly poor.
