The location next to the ferry was great. The hotel is very clean and the owners are so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great and so was dinner. The room was large and very comfortable. We enjoyed stopping in at the bar after a long day where the locals were friendly and chatty.
I had no complaints. Great place to stay
Clean and comfortable. Friendly. Excellent food. Lovely coastal location.
Entrance porch could be brighter.
Good freshly cooked breakfast
Lounge was a bit cold
Lovely welcoming hotel with large rooms where you could relax but you could also sit in the lounge.
There is a restaurant and bar, and given the weather was not so good I decided to eat in.
Really pleased I did as the food was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful

These were the most comfortable beds on our trip. We loved staying on Bressay and getting the view of Lerwick. Nelly might be the best cook on the islands so even if you don't stay you should book in for a dinner reservation. James and Andrew were so lovely. Honestly staying here was the best part of the trip I could pop down to the pub and ask what we should do tmw and the locals would help me plan my whole day. We searched for seals all over and I asked at the pub and found seals in 5 mins. Even based on the locals I spoke with in Lerwick, the Maryfield is the best place to stay if you want to be near Lerwick. The bathrooms were American sized, the water pressure was incredible. It was so quiet on the island I could hear the sheep 2 streets away. I slept so soundly here and breakfast is fantastic. For our entire stay I felt like I was living in a postcard.
Glorious position, lovely building and room, and very comfortable.
The food was delicious especially the fresh seafood, and the owners very friendly and helpful, including advice on the hotel's extensive whisky collection!

Lokalizacja obiektu, bardzo smaczne śniadania, wspaniali pomocni i życzliwi właściciele
Breakfast was available at the requested time. It was served by the owner with a cheery smile, at an appropriate temperature and attractively presented. We also received welcome advice on both travel back to Lerwick on the ferry and getting to Noss to see the wildlife there. Evening meals were not available every night but the one night we ate there the food was of high quality and served in a friendly environment.
The hotel is on a separate island and is only reached by a ferry that travels hourly or more frequently at rush hours. We did not find this a problem and the only time we had to wait for an extended period was on the first day when we didn't know the ropes.
This Hotel was very comfortable. The room was large with great views. The bed was extremely comfortable. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was excellent. The restaurant was at times busy, but the staff were sensitive to the needs of guests and made sure we still had a quiet place to eat. We would not hesitate to return here.
The cooked breakfast and toast were excellent, but the alternatives were limited to a couple of cereals and fruit juice. The addition of fresh fruit and yoghurt would have been great
Beautiful setting, friendly and thoughtful staff and lovely food.
All good! Thank you.
The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, with a modern en-suite bathroom (that was spacious too). The staff were friendly and efficient, regularly checking that all was ok and on whether we needed anything. The cooked breakfasts were wonderful and the dinner menu excellent. All combined into a very relaxing stay.
The public bar could have been a little quieter on the Friday evening (some out-of-tune singing!), but it did add to the character of the place and it all quietened down quite early.
This is an unassuming gem of a place. Very comfortable, food is out of this world, staff are delightful. We had a very special time here.

Quiet, but only a 6 minute ferry ride to Lerwick. Staff was amazing! Rooms were squeaky clean and the local ls we met in the bar each night very friendly. Would definitely stay again.

The Maryfield is the perfect location, very easily accessible to Mainland. Nelly cooked great varied menu. Sara was the most welcoming & friendly front of house. Excellent spacious bedroom with amazing views towards Lerwick. Highly recommend.
Possibly could be a bit cosier.
Dinner was great. Unfortunately kitchen not open on Monday but found gteat alternative in Lerwick.
The hotel has a nice whisky-lounge. Very friendly owner.
