A hidden gem in a beautiful location
Pros:

Friendly welcoming staff. Nice room overlooking the Trent t

Cons:

The outside doors need repainting repair. Give a very poor first impression. Which undermines the brilliant welcome from the staff

Friendly helpful staff and excellent food
Pros:

Food both breakfast and evening meals were very good.
Ideal for visiting Newark Antiques Fair and Newark Air Museum both not far.
Bed really comfy.
Staff all really friendly and polite; nothing too much trouble.
Ample parking.

Cons:

Decor a bit tired.

Need to do better,,,, I actually feel like I deserve a refund

Location was nice on the Trent

Cons:

Flies over everything in the breakfast room, could have covered the bread at minimum, heating was blasting in corridor, room was like a sauna, a £5 fan would make the difference

Everything. Wonderful friendly staff. Great atmosphere. Great foood. Have to mention the staff again nothing too much trouble, happy smiling faces wonderful conversations. Helpt make the experience of the Unicorn even more enjoyable.

Location, can't rate the food as we didn't eat there

Cons:

Very tired and in need of redecorating. However the beds were comfortable and the shower good but it all needs a coat of paint at the very least

The location was ideal for the purpose of our choosing this place. It was on a lovely river setting.

Overall it needs freshening up it was tired.
Value for money wasn’t worth it.

The place was good, staff were great, food was good.

Cons:

Our room had the heating on full blast, windows closed etc.

We needed to have two fans on all night, however we were offered a bucket of ice to place in front of a fan to cool the room down.
