It was clean.
Its not a 4 stars hotel at all. Maximum 2. Everything is very old and tired, things don't work or are broken.
Nice view of the river in the front. Large dining room downstairs. Overall relaxed atmosphere, very friendly staff. Comfortable bed, good water pressure in bathroom, Yorkshire coffee and tea - offering a better brand may be a small thing but it shows care. Plenty of storage space in the room (wardrobe plus medium-size chest of drawers, practical bedside tables), large room. Lots of parking behind the building.
Friendly helpful staff good prices great bar and restaurant big comfortable bed
Needs a lot of tlc could do with updating decor wise needs signs on high steps to rooms
Nice place to stay. Probably much nicer in the summer than winter. Room was OK although not very clean, bed was comfy.
Sadly, a lot more than I liked. Room was dingy. Several light bulbs not working. Radiators need bleeding so room was cold. No shower gel or shampoo. Asked twice but never sorted. No toilet paper. Unforgivable. I got some when I went and asked. Despite advertising a residents bar it closed at 9pm as ‘quiet’. Ridiculous. No food, no drinks. We ended up dragging chairs out of our rooms into the lobby and sharing a bottle of wine we were lucky enough to have in one of our cars. Yes, quiet time of year but don’t advertise facilities if they are not available! Overall this was a very poor experience. Some of the staff were excellent but sadly some were shockingly bad. We booked 5 rooms for 2 nights and will never stay here again.
Lovely staff very clean food was excellent
Excellent location by the river. As a pub /restaurant it had a nice lively atmosphere. Very reasonably priced.
Pleasant staff and good food.
Double bed was 2 single mattresses making it uncomfortable.
The shower on the first night was cold
Staff very polite especially Sherne & hanna
Last orders were to early 9-00pm
Staff were very welcoming. Breakfast was good. Room was comfortable.
No food after 8pm.
room with a view and a bath, friendly staff.
Plenty of space in bedroom
Bed not comfortable
Love the location by the river
The room was a little dated and would be hugely improved with a little money spent on the decor/ furniture.
