Cama estreita, pouca roupa de cama e de qualidade bem simples, igualmente estreita. Quarto muito simples e sem janela. Estacionamento na calçada, veículo fica desprotegido. Valor de hotel business para pouco conforto e comodidade

Limpeza, o quarto é grande e tem bons armários, a localização é muito próxima ao centro e os atendentes são educados e prestativos. Boa facilidade pra deslocar até Ouro Preto de ônibus (que para bem perto).

Cons:

Escadaria para chegar ao terceiro andar (sem elevador), o que seria importante deixar claro no anúncio caso va uma pessoa idosa ou com mobilidade reduzida por algum motivo. O carro dorme do lado de fora do hotel (isso não fica claro na descrição de "estacionamento privativo gratis").

Large Well Run Hotel behind an Unassuming Entrance.
Pros:

The frontage to Minas Centro is a doorway and a small sign on a busy street, but the hotel, clean, comfortable and welcoming, is a large four story building set back above a large courtyard, away from street noise.

Modern and polished, with hardwood detailing, rooms have spacious bathrooms with high pressure hot water, but some only have interior windows opening onto corridors. Very good a/c.

No lift/elevator, and breakfast is served on the 4th floor - the best spot for WiFi.
Small swimming pool behind the courtyard.

The historic centre, with many very good restaurants, is a short walk away.

Free secure parking, and very helpful staff (mas só em portuguës).
The owner drove us down to the rodoviária the day we left.
The half-hourly Transcotta local bus to Ouro Preto stops right outside.

Mariana is a really nice alternative to more visited Ouro Preto, quieter and much less hilly.
Direct bus service from Belo Horizonte, and to Barão de Cocais/ Dois Irmãos for the scenic and efficient Vale Railway trains to Belo Horizonte and Vitória.

NOTE: This is the Minas Centro. There is another Minas hotel outside the town on the main road.

Cons:

WiFi a bit spotty on the lower floors.
