Una estancia perfecta, con un servicio excelente, habitaciones limpias y una vista magnífica al mar.
Pros:

Tuve una excelente estancia con mi pareja en el hotel Quinto Sol. El establecimiento es muy accesible y también ofrece la posibilidad de alquilar pequeñas motos a un precio muy asequible, lo cual es una gran ventaja. El precio de la estancia es muy razonable.

Las habitaciones estaban muy limpias y la conexión a internet funcionaba perfectamente. Tenía una reunión importante en línea y el propietario fue especialmente atento, ayudándome a instalarme en un lugar tranquilo con la mejor conexión posible.

El servicio es realmente destacable: el personal del hotel es muy amable y acogedor. La piscina también es muy agradable, con una vista magnífica al mar.

I had an excellent stay with my partner at Hotel Quinto Sol. The hotel is very easy to access and also offers the possibility to rent small motorbikes at a very affordable price, which is a great advantage. The price of the stay is very reasonable.

The rooms were very clean and the internet connection worked perfectly. I had an important online meeting, and the owner was especially helpful, making sure I could settle in a quiet place with the best possible connection.

The service is truly outstanding: the hotel staff are very kind and welcoming. The pool is also very enjoyable, with a beautiful view of the sea.

French :

J’ai passé un excellent séjour avec ma compagne à l’hôtel Quinto Sol. L’établissement est très accessible et propose également la location de petites motos à un prix très abordable, ce qui est un vrai plus. Le prix du séjour est très correct.

Les chambres étaient très propres et la connexion internet fonctionnait parfaitement. J’avais une réunion importante à distance, et le propriétaire a été particulièrement attentionné en m’aidant à m’installer dans un endroit calme avec la meilleure connexion possible.

Le service est vraiment remarquable : le personnel de l’hôtel est très gentil et accueillant. La piscine est également très agréable, avec une superbe vue sur la mer.

Cons:

La habitacion no tenia vista al mar al principio, tal como la habia contratado. Porque había sabanas colgadas en el patio al que daba la habitación, y arboles con ramas que tapaban la vista. Hice un reclamo, y lo resolvieron, sacando las sabanas y cortando las ramas, así que finalmente podiamos ver el mar.

Refused entry with service dog and left in distress with no assistance

I rarely leave negative reviews, but what happened here was unacceptable and honestly inhumane.

On Saturday March 14th, around 16:00 / 4pm, I arrived at this property with my service dog (with proper documentation). I was refused entry because they don’t allow pets.

At that moment, I was already in the middle of a panic attack that had started during the drive. By the time I arrived, I was in visible distress and ended up lying on the ground outside the hotel for about an hour and a half.

What is deeply shocking is that a staff member from the hotel saw me in this condition and chose to do absolutely nothing. No help, no water, no assistance. I was left there lying on the bare ground in front of the gate, in a vulnerable state as I could barely talk and breathe, completely ignored, and looked down like an inconvenience. They refused to just let me in so I could rest on a couch or chair in the shade. All that mattered was their policy not allowing pets.

This goes far beyond a policy issue. This is about basic humanity and decency — and there was none.

The hotel also refused to reimbursed me despite denying me entry, although a service dog is medically necessary assistance animal, and therefore should not fall under standard pet restrictions.

I strongly advise anyone considering this place to think twice. Policies are one thing, but how you treat a human being in distress says everything.
If you are looking for a place that values basic human decency, I strongly suggest you look elsewhere.

Such a lovely stay! The pool was great, the air conditioning worked well, we were able to use the kitchen to cook for ourselves, and the staff was lol super friendly. Thank you to Caesar for taking care of our every need.

Pros:

The owner is super friendly and hospitable, and although I didn't consider the pool when booking, Mazunte can be really hot and it's really great being able to cool off in there. The location means it's quiet, and has a beautiful view from the terrace

Cons:

Nothing they can do about it! but it is up a hill, so in the middle of the day, it's a sweaty journey home.

Great location slightly off the main strip but short walk, amazing view, lovely cooling swimming pool to relax in under the stars, very friendly staff!
