A very nice lodge with everything you need minus the high prices and the staff are great.
Pros:

The room was basic, as expected, and the bathroom was tiny. The other lodge facilities, including the restaurant, were very good and a great continental breakfast provided. Walter (the neighbours kitten) should be adopted as the official mascot-just too cute for words. The staff were amazing and we enjoyed our stay immensely.

Cons:

No TV in the room and the tin furniture was a little cheap.

Excellent accomodation in Methven
Pros:

Very comfortable, spacious, well located accomodation with great restaurant. Staff were friendly and helpful. Loved the wood fire and an excellent dinner and breakfast. Reminded us of the Austrian ski resorts we used to stay at. Close to the town and hot pools. Very good value for money off season.

Cons:

Nothing, it was excellent and one of the best places we stayed.

Maybe accommodate for older people to stay down stairs , rather than going up the stairs other than that great place to stay

Very clean and tidy. There were extra blankets in case it was needed for the cold. Staff there was friendly and helpful. Room was warmed up just before our arrival….thats a real plus.

Cons:

Only one issue I didn’t like. That has to do with the shower. The shower does not have a flexible hose so not very user friendly. The bathroom is rather small. When you shower, the curtain flows out of the shower cubicle and thus making the whole bathroom floor very wet.

good breakfast as New Zealand standard. spacious room, very clean room and washroom, comfortable bed and pillows. quite room, lots of free parking space, reasonable price when compares to the other expensive accomodations all over South Island.

Pros:

The resort was absolutely lovely with beautiful mountain views from our room. We loved the complimentary breakfast in the restaurant.

Cons:

The only thing we didn't like was the room was a little too warm to sleep and the bed was 2 singles pushed together which wasn't the best.

Warm and Cozy
Pros:

Warm and cozy well appointed accomodation with outstanding service by staff. Comfy bed and lovely inhouse restaurant with great food. Had a delicious dinner and the breakfast buffet was very good. Thank you for a lovely stay.
