This is the third time that we have stayed at this hotel since March 2026 as we find the rooms extremely clean and comfortable. It has been a wonderful place to relax and enjoy overnight stays while looking for our new home in the area.

Cons:

Our third stay on 9th May was not as good. We had to walk all the way to reception to ask for tea cups as there is absolutely no way to contact them via phone. The quality of service in the restaurant has deteriorated each time we have stayed since March this year, and the service and quality of the food on 9th May was definitely not up to standard. In fact, we have cancelled our stay for 26th May and found somewhere else in the area. There seems to be no management giving the young and inexperienced staff any direction. The same goes for the breakfast team on 10th May.

Great value for money but would have preferred a quieter room
Pros:

Lovely clean rooms with all that you needed.
We had a superior double which was lovely and clean, ground floor room. It had tea/coffee etc iron/ironing board hair dryer.
The pup was lovely with loads of character, food was good but could have been hotter.

Cons:

Laying in be which was lovely and comfortable we where suddenly aware that the people above us where moving around there room and it was so noisy, you could hear every footstep and talking. This went on for about 2 hours and very annoying.

Gemütliche Unterkunft mit sehr gutem Frühstück
Pros:

Sehr schönes Zimmer mit modernem Bad, das Bett war gemütlich. Es war ein Wasserkocher sowie Tee, Kakao und Kaffee vorhanden. Zur Begrüßung lagen Kekse und Schokolade bereit. Das Ambiente im Pub war sehr schön und das Frühstück war vielfältig und sehr lecker! Insgesamt ein sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

Cons:

Durch die Lüftung im Bad roch es manchmal nach Abfluss und der Teppichboden hätte nicht sein müssen. Die Straße in der Nähe ist etwas zu hören, aber nicht allzu laut.

A fabulous place to stay that made our weekend so enjoy. Would definitely stay here again.
Pros:

The property was well decorated and in a good state of repair. The location was ideal for our weekend visit. The garden was lovely. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. One member of staff in particular stood out - Aimee. She was brilliant! So professional, friendly and welcoming.

Cons:

Nothing I can think of.

Wouldn’t return
Pros:

Nice room but no food small bed snd unhelpful staff - Arrived just after kitchen closed but had tried continuously for an hour and z half beforehand to contact property to reserve at least a sandwich but absolutely no reply.

Cons:

No good on arrival bed very small not as advertised staff unhelpful
