Great rooms and facilities with a nice pub next door
Pros:

Very clean well decorated comfortable bed and nice bathroom lovely stay

Cons:

Stayed in July and no air on however fans were in the room

Good comfortable stay.
Pros:

Large room, good storage, king size bed, clean and comfortable, great bathroom. The pub layout inside and patio outside are very nice. Location ideal for my needs.

Cons:

The food on the evening could have been better, but it sufficed. Breakfast didn’t wow me either. No fruit salad to choose, just apples and bananas. Sausages were quite firm and poached egg had a snotty white and yolk far too runny. That wouldn’t put me off returning though, i would probably make a different breakfast choice.

Excellent accommodation
Pros:

Excellent location. Beautifully maintained building and really supportive and kind staff. Excellent parking.

Cons:

Nothing really. Not an issue for us but be aware there is no lift and similar walks to the room are quite lengthy.

A find for future visits to family in Newbury.
Pros:

Breakfast was good value and offered a very good selection to suit all ages. Again the evening meal offered a good range and food was tasty.

Cons:

We were more than satisfied with facilities, food atmosphere and service provided.

Overall very good minor niggles
Pros:

Lovely Inn style property very nicely decorated comfortable room and bed . Breakfast good. Was a good overnight stay en route to Southampton

Cons:

The reception was not well signposted and upon check in was advised sorry you cannot use the shower we have a water problem ! Also you need to book a breakfast slot- but as we were late checking in due delays from a crash 15 mile up the road we couldn’t get the time we wanted - Not the best start . The water issue was resolved quickly and we had no issues . We went to breakfast at the time given but others just turned up either at wrong time or not booked in and were just seated anyways !

Pros:

good comfortable accommodation in convenient location.

Cons:

our room smelt like it had been used by smokers - we were not offered non smoking

Another great stay
Pros:

Our third stay at the Berkshire Arms, although I feel slightly guilty that we always stay when there's a gig at Wasing Mount, as its location is perfect.
As such we only ever do a whistle stop and don't get a real chance to experience its food offer which looks amazing.
It's also perfect for the super friendly Greenham Common Parkrun if you're into running.
We absolutely cannot fault anything with our experience. Nice welcome, lovely room, peaceful nights sleep. Some nice additions of a huge selection of complimentary teas, coffees and hot chocolate, and a welcome pack of biscuits and chocolate 😋
We would highly recommend it.

Windows don’t open, horrendously hot. Do not book here for any time in the summer in case there is a heatwave.
Cons:

Windows do not open properly, we stayed there during the heatwave. I was told “it doesn’t say we have air conditioning” … no but it also doesn’t say the windows only open 2 inches. It was disgustingly hot, I finally gave up at about 2am and I had to sleep in my car. The outside temperature was actually ok but the heat was trapped inside the rooms. Do not book here for the summer- if there is a heatwave you will have an awful stay.
