Tolles Hotel zum Relaxen
Pros:

Zum Abschluss unserer Sri-Lanka-Rundreise waren wir vier Tage im Goldi Sands. Pool und Strand sind toll zum Entspannen. Die Anlage ist sehr sauber und es gibt ausreichend Liegen im Schatten. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir hatten ein großes Zimmer mit Balkon und Meerblick und haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Besonderes Highlight war der Streedfood Abend am Strand.

Cleanliness & Hygiene — The property was immaculately maintained throughout. The rooms and common areas were spotlessly clean, and it was clear that high hygiene standards are taken seriously — something I always appreciate and rarely take for granted.
Food & Variety — The dining experience was nothing short of amazing. The food was delicious, and the variety on offer was impressive, catering to different tastes and preferences. Every meal was a highlight of the day.
Overall, Goldi Sands Hotel delivers on every front. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, clean, and welcoming stay with excellent food. I will certainly be returning!

Cons:

Room Condition & Furnishings — While the bed was comfortable and I slept very well, the overall room decor and furniture felt noticeably outdated. A refurbishment would go a long way in elevating the guest experience to match the excellent service and food on offer.
Television — Unfortunately, the television in my room was not functioning during my stay. This is something that should be addressed promptly, as it is a basic amenity guests expect.
Bathroom Facilities — The bathrooms are in need of an upgrade. Modern fixtures and fittings would make a significant difference and bring the overall standard of the rooms in line with the rest of the hotel's strengths.

Die Anlage insgesamt, der Strand und das freundliche Personal. Die Liegen unter schattigen Palmen.

Cons:

Das Standardzimmer ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Die Einrichtung ist recht abgewohnt. Die Klimaanlage ließ sich nicht regeln, entweder sie kühlte voll oder gar nicht. Allerdings waren angenehme Temperaturen kaum zu erreichen. Möglicherweise liegt das aber auch an der derzeitigen Energiekrise. Der Preis von rund 130 Euro pro Nacht mit mäßigem Frühstück (das "continental") scheint ziemlich überhöht.

Cons:

Air conditioning unit malfunctioned at 1:30am and an engineer had to be called, was semi-fixed but continued to be loud when operating

Cats and dogs in the restaurant, this is very unhygienic and staff did little to stop these animals, the cat even sat on one of the dining chairs where a guest would then sit. I’m allergic to dogs.

Väga super asukoht, palmide all vilus, basseini vaade ookeanile. Väga hea teenindus ja hommikusöök. Linna sees, toidupood ligidal. Võimalusel tulen tagasi.

Bedjes op het strand, lekker onder de boompjes. Srrand lekker rustig en je kon lekker een drankje bestelken.b
Dit was de 1e keer bij aankomst op sri lanka
2e keer voor de terugreis, dachten doen hetzelfde hotel maar deze keer was het anders.Kregen niet de geboekte kamer (balkon seaview)geen bedjes op strand vrij, te druk.
Dus onze 1e ervaring geen constante factor bij dit hotel. Cijfer resencie wat aangepast nu.

Te druk, geen voldoende bedjes op strand en zwembad.
1e keer prima kamer, 2e keer niet

Alles “ziet” er prachtig uit, totdat je echt dichtbij kijkt. Kraan los, verweerd dak. Ik koos deze locatie vanwege de hoge waardering en omdat ik een goede nachtrust wilde voor twee lange vluchten: 😏

Cons:

Personeel is geldbelust, niet klantgericht. Vreselijk gehorige kamer (434) : al het verkeer hoorbaar van de straat €150 dollar (ex tax ex ontbijt) of meer zelfs is veel geld in Sri Lanka voor één nacht. Van 6:30-7:00 gewacht in de foyer …één groot muggencircus

The perfect place to spend a day by the pool following an action packed holiday.

Pool. Cleanliness of the room. Beach front location. Breakfast selection. Surprise birthday cake for my partner.

Cons:

Cleanliness of the beach, although appreciate this might not be the hotels responsibility. We found metal debris from the fireworks when walking barefoot outside of the hotel. Lack of response to request made via booking.com messages. Taxi transfer was double the price of a local company.
