Pros:

Very close to the beach (can walk there)
Staff very engaging
Allowed to stay and use the pool after check-out while waiting for the airport transfer

Lovely hotel, great location
Pros:

We arrived at the Belmont with a heavy heart as we had finally reached the end of our amazing Sri Lankan journey and the Belmont was the ideal choice for that journey to end at. The hotel was lovely, a clean and air conditioned room with high ceilings and a great bathroom/shower. 

It location was also excellent, a short 30 min ride to the airport and walking distance to numerous shops and restuarants. The hotel also has a small pool for cooling down in and a rooftop dining is also a plus.

I would highly recommend the Belmont - its is exactly as its name suggest - a boutique hotel with a lovely vibe and a great spot to stay before saying goodbye to Sri Lanka

Lovely stay & restaurant waiter Amalia was great
Pros:

I had a very nice stay at this hotel, especially as a solo female traveller. The room and hotel were lovely, and the perfect place to stay before my early morning flight. I had a delicious dinner at the hotel restaurant, and my server Amalia was particularly lovely and made it a great experience. His recommendation for the prawns was perfect for my last meal in Sri Lanka. The free airport drop off was also great and relieved me of any early morning stress.

A great place to say near the airport
Pros:

I booked this hotel mainly because of the free airport transfer but the hotel and room were very nice. Enjoying a beer on the rooftop whilst watching the sun set was a nice way to finish my 2 week trip to Sri Lanka.

Cons:

I had dinner at the hotel and my first choice was unavailable.

Amazing little place to stay! Arranging airport shuttle to pick us up from the airport at 11pm was very easy and efficient. Spacious clean room with excellent bed and shower. Breakfast was wonderful too, particularly loved the freshly squeezed fruit juice. Pool looked lovely although we didn't have time for a dip. Almost wish we'd had a proper stay not just a quick overnight one.

Fijn, zeer centraal gelegen hotel, attent en zeer vriendelijk personeel.
Pros:

Zeer vriendelijk personeel, taxi was geregeld en op tijd aanwezig. Ontbijt voor onderweg was erg fijn.

Nice enough place to stay with great staff but there are probably nicer options available.
Pros:

Staff were very friendly. Traditional Sri Lankan breakfast was really nice after a long day of fitting the previous day.

Cons:

Bed wasn’t particularly comfortable and we both woke with sore backs. Hotel isn’t in as good a location as many others in the area. Despite being off the main strip, it was quite loud at night which interrupted our sleep.
