It was juts perfect for a weekend stay!
Pros:

Everything was very clean, the food was lovely, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. I really appreciated their warm hospitality and enjoyed my stay. I would happily return when visiting Newbury.

Cons:

I didn't like the noise from the neighbouring pubs and the street, but I suppose it is not unusual for Saturdays and Fridays.

Good location middle of Newbury
Pros:

Location is very good, middle of the town, easy explore and walk around the town, as well as along the canal.
Breakfast was a set breakfast but with a good selection of either cooked or continental food.
Friendly and helpful staff and there was a private car park, which is important in the centre of the town.

Cons:

Some noise disturbance from the road early mornings and from next door rooms in the evenings, but acceptable for a town centre location.
The Bath the only had a rain type shower (no handheld shower head) which was not what my wife wanted.

We had a lovely time. Staff were really great,kind and friendly.
Pros:

Staff were amazingly helpful.
The food was very nice.
Overall we had a very pleasant stay.

Cons:

The room was very dark. Window was tiny so we had no natural light. Lights need to be brighter so you can actually see what you are doing.
At night you were woken by other guests running water, flushing toilets.
