Pros:

Loads of character and a charming old building. Great countryside view.

Cons:

The steel staircase situated outside leading to the bedroom was a bit scary, especially when wet. I was terrified of falling.

Peaceful, tasteful, comfortable and calming. Delicious food, what a find. We will return.
Pros:

Beautifully decorated inside and out, excellent rooms. Understated high quality throughout. Someone has really thought it through, elegant design, clever bathroom layout, oodles of hot water and a bath :). Sumptuous bed. They could not have been more and accommodating, lovely staff.

Cons:

Bathroom needs a small shelf please and outside gents needs a hook behind the door :). It l’s the small touches.

Very tastefully presented place. Excellent stay + excellent dinner
Pros:

The restaurant was the highlight of our stay. The room was above and also very comfortable, clean and cosy, and matched the style of the property. Great bathroom in terms of attention to detail, all functional classic and smart fixtures. Quite generous bed+bathroom sizes upstairs with a perfect sunrise view out the front in the morning. Our friend stayed in the room facing the rear parking, but it's also tastefully laid out and maintained and not at all an eyesore. Considering we stayed in February, I'm sure it's even nicer in the Sping/Summer! We had dinner in the restaurant which was excellent and worth it.

Cons:

The only minor downside was that there wasn't really anywhere to spend time before or after dinner other than our room. We reserved dinner for 7pm, and arrived around 6 for a drink, but were asked to perch at the bar until our booking time despite nealy all of the tables including ours being empty at that time. It felt a little odd given we already had a booking, and it would have been more comfortable to sit at our table. Possibly just a miscommunication.

Some additional lounge-style seating in the adjacent fireplace areas would be a welcome touch. We did sense that the space is intentionally presented primarily a restaurant, and that having a lounge/bar seating area might detract from that mood. Still, given the remote setting, it felt like there was nowhere to retreat other than our room, unless staying seated at the lively restaurant for longer. That said, we were very happy overall and slept wonderfully after dinner.

Would come back!!!
Pros:

The staff were very friendly. Food was excellent in the pub. There was plenty to choose from on the wine list for a pub. The room was warm and bed was comfortable. Great place to stay.

Cons:

There was nothing really we didn't like but a television in the room would improve the stay. The shower was in the bath and for older people could be a problem getting in. Both of these for us are minor though.
