Regency Park Hotel, Health Club & Spa

Very hot - no air con in the bedrooms and difficult to open french doors. Bath was too high to get into! Decorating needs refreshing.

No air con. Lifts didn’t work. No food for one of the nights. Customer service wasn’t the best.

Staff at check in lied said air con in hotel does not work
We thought we had a room with air con but was given extra fan
Asked to be moved to air con room next day we were told it worked but it did not and it was so old it looks like it had never been serviced
Restaurant was shut no explaination
Breakfast was very poor tge plates were empty and they had no more to put out

No aircon, decoration was poor, dining room was dirty, coffee awful, breakfast mediocre

Smelly toilets...and no microwave

Bathroom was dirty found her in the bath on arrival. There was only one towel for two people there was no Aircon, shame during a heatwave however the hotel did provide a fan for the room once I asked if they had one

Most of the hotel was unbearably warm. My room must have been literally 40°c. Had been sunbaked all day before I checked in and no air conditioning. Had the worst night's sleep I've ever had in a hotel.

The hotel is nice and bit outdated, staff were nice but due to the heat wave the rooms were very hot, they accommodated us with fans but these were desk top fans, in hindsight this really didn't make a difference, if you know the weather is going to be extremely hot then forward planning needs to be considered to meet the standards. The whole experience was ok the rooms are big but the carpet within the room has a bump and this can also be a hazard, as it was lifted. I had initially made an error with my booking but no incentive was offered or a discount. Would I visit this hotel again probably not. Staff are lovely but the overall experience within a hot room was not fit for purpose.

Dirty Toilet, not fresh food, no staff at reception, not working room phone, no air conditioning, long walk from room to main hotel entrance.

The only one downside for me was the window/door.
I had a room on ground level which was great but the only way of getting air was to open the doors. Unfortunately doing this let alot of bugs into room. Also I didn't feel I could of slept with them open. But thanks to my fan it was OK.

No AC- unbearable conditions in the room, Poor Customer Service, lift not working, jacuzzi out of service

room was well outdated and im pretty sure this hotel is a swingers hotspot

The hotel was described as having air conditioning, however the rooms do not. When I brought this up I was abruptly told I should have read the fine print properly as it clearly stated that it was the hotel, not the rooms that have it. There was a fan but that just wafted hot air around and didn’t help. The windows were on the safety catch on the first night, so I couldn’t open them fully.
On the second night one window had the safety catch removed so I could open the window more. However below there was guests chatting and partying until the early hours which meant little to no sleep. The lift was broken. I was on the third floor. The sign on the door said that if I needed assistance with luggage or had a disability I could contact reception. In extreme heat, it was unbearable climbing so many stairs. It was only on check out that I was informed that the lift around the corner by the spa was working. No mention of this at check in when I arrived late at night. I was offered assistance with my bags which was a nice gesture. The kitchens were also closed for food other than breakfast throughout my stay. The room was clean, the beds were made and towels replaced. However they left the iron and ironing board out which found unusual. But at least they removed the safety catch from one of the windows so I could get a tiny bit more air into the room.

There was no air conditioning I would have expected a hotel like this to have aircon, I could not see on the website if it was stated or not. The night porter had no idea what he was doing,he didn't seem to know when check out was or what the breakfast hours were. The decoration was poor. and amateurish, I have it on good authority that decoration was carried out by staff members. The breakfast was ok but limited and the continental breakfast was pitiful. The dining room was dirty and the sorry excuse for coffee was undrinkable.
