Quite good value for money stay, staff helpful and friendly.
Pros:

Staff were great. Overall the building could do with updating, looking tired. Rooms clean. Car park entrance needs to be more obvious it’s for The Post House accommodation.

Cons:

See above

Welcoming and Comfortable Stay
Pros:

Location, setting by the river, food and drink on site, the staff. Friendly and helpful. Walking distance to other great restaurants, pubs, and coffee shops, but more relaxed setting than the city centre.

Cons:

The bathrooms have been nicely refurbished, but the rooms themselves could be freshened up a bit. We stayed in a family room on one occasion and I stayed in a single room in both were quite adequate in terms of facilities and comfort. Beds were comfortable.

Lovely relaxing break
Pros:

Location
Friendly, helpful staff
Good choice of drinks
Good prices
Nice food

Cons:

Room fine. The toilet doors in the ladies (in the pub) need changing so the open out. You need to be a size 8 to squeeze out of the cubicle. I have commented on this for years!

Good value for the money paid. Suited my needs for this trip
Pros:

I had looked at the rating before travelling so did not have high expectations
The staff were friendly and accommodating, allocating me the room requested overlooking the river. My room was dated but large and clean with lovely views.
The breakfast provided was very good, the chef cooked fresh eggs on my arrival and the choice of items varied. The continental breakfast requires prior notice as pastries are cooked fresh to order.

Cons:

The building is old , maybe Georgian period? and understandably requires a lot of upkeep .
My room was very noisy, I could hear everything around me until the residents settled down for the night but then it was quiet until 5.30/6 when people woke up. Again this is an old building and not sound proofed so I did not expect anything else.
I had a boiler firing up and switching off through the night so had little sleep the first night but got used to the noise after this.

Served it’s purpose
Pros:

Breakfast was super value for money.

Cons:

The bed was very clean but extremely hard.
Other guests need to be more mindful when walking around and when viewing their tv.

Pros:

Very friendly staff, beautiful view of the broad and had everything we needed for the night. Good coffee and tea selection and a comfy bed. We got great value for money

Cons:

It needs a little bit of maintenance. It had a bit of damp on the ceiling and very creaky flooring. Lots of steps so definitely not for anyone with mobility issues but it is a very reasonable price
