The room I originally booked had a loud humming noise coming from somewhere. they moved me, no quibble. The second room was great. Spacious and overlooked the river.
The food was passable.
The bed was quite comfortable. You could probably oversleep if you're not too careful. The view of the lake at the bottom of the garden was visually intoxicating.
Distance from town was a little far. However, that's my fault for misreading the distance.
A little different today because of the derby football match.
Lovely room, breakfast good a good value place to stay .
Good location to get in and out of the city, free parking, lots of food and drink to offer. Great view out of the rooms. Staff were very accommodating.
There were some imperfections around the room, things fallen off the wall and general bad upkeep. There was a small problem with the cleanliness of our bedding, however it got dealt with promptly by the staff and we were given another room (which was an upgrade to what we had).
View was lovely .room and facilities were clean and of good quality
The food was average
Lovely location, next to the river, and a short drive to the city centre and the staff were very friendly and helpful
The early closure times for able to order food (9.00pm)and considering it was a Saturday night, the bar was closed at 10.00pm, maybe in high season it’s open later?
Really nice break. Excellent location.
Building just needs a bit of a freshen up in places.
The staff and the food were very good. The room was large, had a good view of the river and had all the required facilities. The location was good for visiting Norwich and the surrounding area
The hotel was clean but the fabric of the building could do with some TLC.
Location
Run down and needs revamping . Beer garden good . But decoration inside very tired. Breakfast not the same as a normal inkeepers . If you book on the website be warned as there is no choice or juices or fruit . Just carvery English breakfast , plus you have to ask for everything .
The room was a lovely size and there ws ample parking outside. Located on the river so nice views. Not a bad location for the city with a good bus route.
The hotel is very dated and needs an uplift. The window frames are very rotten and worn and the woodwork in the bathroom was rotten and had been bodged up. The room was very hot. The breakfast was very disappointing. No cereals, no fruit juice or drinks for children included, or tea and coffee as it happens. No fruit, yogurt, pastries, croissants etc. Not as good value as somewhere like Holiday Inn or Beefeater etc. The hotel is not suitable for people with restricted accessibility, as there are far too many stairs, and steps into the garden.
The staff very accommodating and helpful throughout the stay
The whole hotel from the rooms to the actual pub part are in desperate need of renovating and therfore the whole place is very dirty and grim
Nice cosy, clean room. Easy ro park outside the hotel.
