Rooms and corridors were quiet
Food was good value for money really liked the carvery
Room was spacious
The staff were individual characters which was very refreshing
Location was amazing & so convenient for local transport. Breakfast was good.
Beautiful riverside garden and cozy country pub style.
Limited parking
Zimmer war gut. Platz ausreichend.
The pub garden and pub were good, the staff very friendly.
Room was tiny, bed very small and uncomfortable, could hear every noise and the food was poor
Location, extremely helpful staff. The staff completely carry this hotel
Room quite small and extremely hot and stuffy windows could only be opened slightly. Far too many steps (especially at our age)
The location on the River bank and great staff. They could not have been more helpful.
The pizza and carvery were good value for money.
The room was so hot even with the fan. The windows didn't open wide but we did visit on the hottest day of the year so can not really blame the hotel!
Nice clean comfortable bed and room, staff was very friendly and helpful
nothing to dislike about the town house,
The beer garden and the view. Location was amazing and the staff lovely.
The food stopped at 9pm and bar shut at 10pm
Room was clean and tidy, a nice bathroom. It was very hot but then again it was 35 outside
The wardrobe is not long enough to hang a dress, breakfast is a little limited
Friendly staff
The carvery food
Overcooked and bland
25 mins walk into Norwich
Very easy to travel into the city. Close to cafes to get good coffee.
Comfortable bed and beautiful, soft towels for bathroom. Friendly staff.
Being able to sit beside the river was fantastic. Beautifully situated
Nothing
Very friendly, happy, helpful staff, especially Rebecca who was exceptional.
Lovely location right by the river, a large garden with plenty of tables.
The outside of the building and window frames are in need of some attention.
The menu was fairly limited, no healthy options such as jacket potatoes, salad etc. Breakfast was a bit disappointing, tea and coffee weren't included and no yogurt, fruit or cereals available.
Very friendly helpful staff and a great location. It is on a bus route, not far from Norwich city centre and station. There are nice pubs and restaurants within easy walking distances too.
There is a car park for visitors to the restaurant but not for guests. We stayed 4 of the 5 nights booked and parking was on the road outside. You cannot fault the staff but the hotel is tired and does not look like the photos on the website. It was boiling and there is no air con, we couldn’t open our window more than a couple of inches so the pedestal fan had an impossible task. The worst bit was finding that the toilet hadn’t been cleaned, it was gross. The lovely lady tried to move us to another room but neither she nor I could open the door. This meant she then had to clean the toilet. Not part of her role and we felt for her.
Room rather small but otherwise OK, fan in bathroom did not work, a not uncommon problem
Property is a bit "tired" could do with a refurbishment generally
Very pleasant riverside garden, perfect for what was a very warm evening. The room was comfortable and clean.
The bed mattress was old and sagging which made for a poor night's sleep. There was also a slight odour of cooking oil in the room. I think I was at the same end of the building as the carvery kitchen below.
We got the room we requested. Spare bed & travel cot made up ready. Superb cleaner, thank you so much. Lovely staff as usual. Good price drinks & great variety. Lovely food.
