Location

Not much if I’m honest
No fan and shower was awful no pressure and hand the hold the shower head myself 😑
Room was so suffocating, and it’s not even in good condition. And they’re reusing same towels without washing. Even the bedsheet and pillow covers are dirty. Totally worst experience ever.
Location was very central Hotel very tired and basic felt more like a youth hostel
Loved the location, near to the bus station, shops and the quirky little alley at the side. My room was under the arch, so I could see the replica watchman's bell. Value for money, it is what it is, a friendly, quirky budget hotel
Tiny coffee cups, the bath was badly stained, wasn't sure if the towels were beige or dirty.
Clean and tidy, could do with updating but fine for the price
Bit oldy
Not much
Room was uncomfortably hot. It was during a heatwave. But could not sleep, as it was so hot. Obviously no air conditioning, but a fan would of been something.
Shower did not work and room was incredibly dated...
The hotels location in Newport
Very Good location for the town and bus station
Central location
The location was great and the staff were lovely.
No Aircon, which I can understand because of the expense, but not even a desk fan provided in the room. Advertised as a bath and shower but there was no hook for the showerhead to be attached to. Also carpeted bathroom so did not fancy risking drenching the floor by having a shower free handed.
I am requesting a full refund. The place was disgusting we emptied the hand basin on arrival and all the waste came through the bath from I presume another toilet it was like out a horror movie. They put us in another room but we went in that unpacked re packed and left. The place should be shut down
Everything
Clean
Comfortable.
Too warm no ac
The hotel was conveniently located in Newport, close to the shops as well as the cinema and harbour.
The room had everything I neded but the bathroom and the poor shower ruined the stay. I had to stand in an old bath and try to make the shower work. It was impossible, either you had a sprinkling of boiling hot water or freezing cold water via the cold water tap. For some reason, you could not use the mixer taps for anything in between!
The room was on the third floor and there is no lift. As I was on the Isle of Wight in early July during the heat wave, a no shower is a big 'no-no' in itself. If you are a sole traveller and are offered room 31, ask for another room! The room itself was otherwise quite well euqipped with a kettle and the television worked fine and was easy to use.
Another gripe was the fact that on the day of arival, it was very hot but the official time you get your allocated room is not until 4 pm so you walk the hot streets with all your luggage until then. I gave up around 3.10 and they did allow me to have my room key but I had had enough of the wait by then.
Good location, clean and good value for money.
A shower curtain might be useful.
The staff were friendly and the location was good.
The shower was very poor. There was no hook to suspend the shower head, and the water temperature was only ever very hot or very cold. There was also no fan or air conditioning so we baked in a 30C+ room during the heatwave.
Reception staff were fantastic. Especially Gemma Collins, she made us laugh all evening.
Its not a case I didnt like. There was a issue with a leak in our room meaning we had to change rooms just before bedtime. It wasn't a issue for us and the staff was great. Its just one of those things that happen.
