Newport town centre, convenient cafes and restaurants. Hotel good value.
Hadn't appreciated no breakfast or restaurant, though cafes and restaurants near. Bedroom clean and comfortable; bathroom a little 'tired'.
Welcoming and great people

This is a perfect location, easy to reach and right in the city centre, not far from the bus station. The hotel is quite old and could probably use some renovation, but I did not see that as a problem — there is a certain charm to its age. Everything was fairly clean.
The room was a little cold (feb/mar). The shower hose was old and really needed replacing, so the water flow only worked properly if I held the shower at a certain angle. There is nowhere to hang the “Do not disturb” sign (even though one is provided in the room), because there is no standard lock on the door.
The staffs were welcoming and the room was neat and clean.
The hotel is near the town center which makes commuting easier.
Friendly staff and clealiness of the room.
Warm comfortable bed and room. Very clean. Located in the center of Newport within 20mins walk of everything major. It is quiet and peaceful, no children permitted. I liked the usb outlet built into the plug socket by the tv. The tv had loads of channels, the wifi supported vpn at good speed.
The hot water pressure was not sufficient for a shower, but the bath was big enough to almost lie down in and contemplate, Archimedes style. Be warned the water takes considerable time to warm up and this morning at 0615 there no hot water. I have stayed for 4 weeks straight to date and up until this point everything was sufficient for my needs based on price, location and facilities. And breakfast is not available. Again this is ok, costa is 2 mins walk and open at 0700hrs.
Location brilliant
Very old fashioned really needs an update one day a boy with a cap on back to front was receptionist
Needs updating
I didn’t
Lokation was good and the staff were fine.
The room wss big and comfortable.
The water in the bathroom was super slow and in the last few days of my stay there was no heatong, appare tly cause the temeprature outside was 11 degrees and I was told the heatong turns on and off automatocally 🤔
It took at least 5-6 minutes until any warm water comes
Customer service was nice, room was very neat and cool.
There's nothing to my dislike
There is no shower facility
I was able to enter and exit the hotel 24 hours. It was easy to find. The bed was surprisingly comfy. I also liked that we had 4 towels readily available to use in our room alongside the complementary items.
I liked that we had a choice as to whether we wanted our room freshening up daily.
The rooms were outdated and old fashioned, for what I paid, you would expect newer and more up to date. The location of the room I stayed in was a bit hit and miss, especially of a weekend when there’s nothing but drunk and loud people walking down the alley underneath the windows.
Staff don’t really make much conversation and I only saw one or two members that was both to collect and hand keys back.
Love the room with ensuite and bath tub
Location
Shower
No shower, the hot tap in the bath was a bit moody too. The TV remote control didn’t work and you could hear the toilet flushing in other rooms.
It was shabby.
