Breakfast was great but this booking was room only.
No chair in room. NO KETTLE in room. Toilet seat was very loose. How did the loo seat and lack of kettle get missed by staff?
Great character pub
Needed more power points in our room
Excellent breakfast and restaurant.
Really friendly staff beautiful food in the restaurant. Excellent breakfast lovely atmosphere.
If the rate included breakfast.
The food was amazing.
It was a bit noisy in the evening with the traffic. Also we were woken up by someone staying in one of the other rooms passing our room in the night.
Location and breakfast good.Staff very friendly and helpful.
Situation of rooms made it a bit noisy, fan wasn't working in bathroom ,no toilet roll holder toothbrush glass or hand soap.
Food and staff were awesome
No information leaflet in room
Wonderful centuries old pub/restaurant. Good food.
Crazy steep and narrow staircase up to the rooms
Nice hotel/pub , very old building but clean and meal in the evening was very nice. Comfortable room, staff were very pleasant
Too far to walk into Norwich, need a car or by bus- bus stop was outside
Friendly staff. Very good breakfast. Characterful older property.
A chair in the room would be welcome. Slight disadvantage of the noise of deliveries to the nearby supermarket
Great place very friendly
A little tlc in rooms
Great staff - Warm welcome - Marvellous stylish pub (since 1643 !) - Great area - Free and safe parking - Great atmosphere in the pub - Very good breakfast - Delicious food - Very interesting choice of french wines - Easy to go to the centre of Norwich with bus 11A and 12 (bus stop just in front of the pub).
Bed is not very comfy and is too small for two people.
Convenient for my one night stay. It seems a very popular, busy pub pub/diner. (car park full, was lucky to squeze my little car in a dark corner)
It looked like the food would have been good, and on another occassion I would have opted for the breakfast, but it had already worked out quite expensive for just a late overnight stay as a single occupant.
The pictures for this place were most bizarr, instead of showng the room layout it showed a kettle or some soap dispensers, so fixtures and fittings rather than the actual room itself. I hadn't realised it would have such a high wooden beamed ceiling, (like literally a barn) it made me feel a little uneasy as I have a phobia, so I had to just not look up in case I focused on something nasty. it aslo meant it smelt a little damp.
Also the TV! rather than being in front of the bed, was at the side! I never understand why hotels do this. I actually had to move the bed so that it faced the TV, and this was a much better arrangement, no reason for it not to be that way! I did put it back again afterwards, partly cos the headboard was stuck to the wall! but also cos I like to leave things the way I found them. Even though I'm certain the next occupant would have prefered it my way!
Dim lighting.
No shelf or hooks in bathroom.
The property is easy to find, on a main road only a few minutes from the city centre. The rooms were fairly clean and nice and warm. The bed was comfy and apart from a bit of pub noise, slept well (we booked single rooms).
The pub served really delicious food and the staff were friendly and welcoming, they were keen to check we were having a good time and to offer any help we might need
The room could have done with a few tea bags, there were herbal teas but I had to ask for a normal PG tips, I got the feeling the cleaner was a bit offended by my request. That was the only negative point, but very minor
