Heerlijk verblijf gehad bij de Wever Lodge prachtige omgeving, fijne sfeer en culinair genieten
Pros:

Heerlijk verblijf gehad bij de Wever Lodge. Samen met mijn partner hebben we drie dagen op de racefiets de Veluwe verkend. Wat een prachtig gebied!

Wij verbleven in een kamer in het atelier. Deze was iets aan de kleine kant, maar voor ons verblijf prima geschikt. De televisie werkte wat gebrekkig door de wifi-verbinding, maar normaal gesproken kijken wij toch nauwelijks tv. Alleen tijdens ons verblijf was er toevallig een halve finale te zien, waardoor het jammer was dat dit niet helemaal soepel werkte.

Het diner in het restaurant en het ontbijt waren uitstekend georganiseerd. Er was veel aandacht voor detail: verfijnde smaken, prachtig opgemaakte gerechten en een mooie keuze aan ingrediënten met veel diepgang. Je merkt dat er met passie en vakmanschap wordt gewerkt.

Gezien de kwaliteit van de keuken en de totale beleving verwacht je een hogere prijs. De rekening kwam voor ons gehele verblijf – inclusief diner, wijn en twee overnachtingen – uit op ongeveer €600. Dat is zeker niet goedkoop en voelt aan de stevige kant, maar daar staat tegenover dat de ervaring absoluut bijzonder was.

Kortom: een prachtig verblijf op een unieke locatie, met een culinair niveau dat indruk maakt. Een aanrader voor wie waarde hecht aan sfeer, natuur en gastronomie.

Prima uitvalsbasis voor Kröller Müller Museum
Pros:

Mooie, rustige ligging, middenin de natuur. Instant ontspanning gegarandeerd.
Mooie ruime badkamer. Lichte kamers met heerlijke bedden.
Sfeervol restaurant. 's Avonds volzet, dus niet de mogelijkheid gehad om er te dineren. Zeer lekker ontbijt, beetje chaotische maar vriendelijke bediening.

Cons:

Nauwelijks opbergruimte voor kleren in de kamers. Voor één nachtje geen groot probleem, maar voor een langer verblijf toch wel onpraktisch.

Delightful place, but be aware that "comfort" rooms may be more expensive than comfortable!
Pros:

My wife and I enjoyed our four-night stay at de Wevers Lodge. The hotel, the environment, and the town are very nice, and that compensated in good part for the shortcomings of our room (#23, which guests should avoid).

The breakfast is not just good and varied and healthy, but it is also very pleasant. The setting is delightful, and staff are generally cheerful and helpful. Breakfast tends to be a leisurely, lengthy event. However, if guests make quick and clear decisions with respect to their choice of hot drinks and egg dishes, they are more likely to benefit from quick and efficient service.

It's a pleasant ten-minute walk to town -- where there are several restaurants, a supermarket and other shops and services.

Cons:

As noted elsewhere, we were not pleased with the room in which we stayed. Not only is it fairly small, but none of the relatively large windows can be opened. Moreover, it's a ground-floor room on a relatively busy pathway. Fortunately the blinds/curtains do a very good job of blocking the very early morning sunlight, but, as those blinds/curtains are thoroughly opaque, one must often choose between zero privacy and cell-like darkness.

While there is a clothes bar with numerous clothes hangers, there's hardly any shelf space. For an overnight stay that might not matter, but for a four-night stay it was irritating and unusual. (The bathroom did have a drawer for toilet articles.)

Het personeel. Het personeel was ontzettend aardig voor ons en legde alles goed aan ons uit. Daarnaast was er een heel goed ontbijt aanwezig

Het was bij ons best wel geluidsruchtig al vroeg in de ochtend, je hoort wel deuren open en dicht gaan wat een schok geeft als je een lichte slaper ben

Fantastisch verblijf, middenin het bos met topontbijt
Pros:

Het is echt een geweldige plek. Middenin het bos, naast de ingang van het nationaal park de hoge veluwe en naast het kroller moller. Rondom het hotel een grote tuin, wat eigenlijk het bos is, met zitjes in zowel zon als schaduw. Kamers zijn mooi verbouwd, met een prettige badkamer en een regendouche die in staat is om een gemiddelde bosbrand te blussen. Ruim voldoende verlichting met mooi dimsysteem, maar als je niet met de werking via de lichtknop bekend bent, verdient dat iets meer uitleg dan nu gegeven wordt. Gelukkig heeft de kamer airco. Dan het ontbijt…. Fantastisch. Buffet met voldoende keus, yoghurt, brood, heerlijke croissants en de mogelijkheid om vd kaart diverse dingen te bestellen. Dikke tip: de wentelteefjes!

Overpriced, mooie locatie maar daar is alles mee gezegd

Gehorig, je hoort alle geluiden. Kletsend personeel in de avond, gasten. Ik moest vragen of ze stiller wilden zijn.
De douche van de buren, echt verschrikkelijk
En dat voor die prijs!

Bovendien kwam het management met de opmerking “we nemen u oprecht serieus, we hebben het nog niet eerder gehoord”, ipv “wat vervelend, ik ga kijken wat ik kan doen, wilt u aub een kopje koffie die we u aanbieden?”. Nee niets van dat alles.
Een wknd weg om te ontspannen, uit te rusten was de bedoeling. Nou dat kan hier niet.
Kei harde bedden; hele kleine kamers, je kon net om het bed heen lopen, elke klappende deur of pratend iemand hoor je.

Eten duurde super lang, gerechten waren erg saai en weinig smaakvol.
