Nette Lodge mit rustikalem Scham
Pros:

Sehr gute Lage, man kommt schnell zum Slowboathafen. Personal war sehr nett, wir haben sogar einen kleinen Willkommensdrink bekommen. Tolle Aussicht!

Cons:

Kein Fensterglas und Fliegengitter am Fenster und das Moskitonetz am Bett war etwas unhandlich

Pros:

En general todo, buena ubicación muy cerca del embarcadero, cómodo, las vistas al Mekong desde la terraza de la habitación eran fabulosas. Nos levantamos al amanecer y permanecer sentados en la terraza contemplando el entorno, hasta la partida en el barco.

Great stay! Beautiful views on the balcony! Cold a/c, good WiFi, a welcome drink and cold towel upon arrival was a huge surprise! Breakfast was simple but plenty! Such kind staff! What a delight

Pros:

Très belle vue sur le Mekong, à l’arrivée du slow boat quelqu’un vient chercher nos sacs pour les monter en scooter et on a une boisson rafraîchissante en arrivant à la réception. Le personnel est très gentil. La chambre est très confortable et il y a des moustiquaires.

Okay for a one night stay
Pros:

The room we had overlooked the Mekong and elephant sanctuary and shared a balcony with the neighbour.
Very basic and not very clean (although it is a very dusty place). Room has no aircon or fridge but does have a fan and mosquito net over bed. Close to boat and town.
Recommend Meal at Saibaidee.
Bonus was watching the elephant bathe in the morning.

Cons:

You could smoke on your shared balcony which means your neighbour has to close all doors and windows.

Bardzo mili właściciele i ładny widok
Pros:

Obiekt położony przy samej przystani slow boat. Ładny widok z okna. Smaczne i świeże śniadanie. Mili i pomocni gospodarze. Domek wykonany jest z ratanu, więc trzeba liczyć się z tym, że są insekty. Dobrze, że jest moskitiera. Czysta pościel. W łazience ciepła woda. Dobre WiFi.

Cons:

Drogo jak na Laos, ale są to dobre warunki jak na taką wioskę. Wystarczy spojrzeć w jakich domach żyją lokalni mieszkańcy. W pokoju nie ma klimatyzacji, tylko wiatrak.

Bonlinger take: A simple base that lets you linger lightly. Everything an easy 5–10 minute wander.
Pros:

Simple, honest accommodation right by the river — exactly what you need for an overnight stop on the Mekong.

The rooms are basic but comfortable, with working air conditioning and a good night’s sleep. Breakfast is straightforward, but Pakbeng’s excellent bakeries are just a short walk away and well worth exploring.

We rated it an 8, taking into consideration that it is a 2-star standard.

Bonlinger take: A simple base that lets you linger lightly. Everything in Pakbeng — bakeries, restaurants, river views — is within an easy 5–10 minute wander.

Cons:

Would prefer a slightly larger room with better facilities - but Pakbeng is a 1-2 star accommodation town - particularly if you want to be near the wharf.
