Excellent value, fantastic friendly staff, lovely rooms, hearty breakfast.
Pros:

Fabulous stay. Room 6 with a view onto the High street is wonderful and spacious has a generously sized bathroom, lots of storage space and a cute little window seat to watch the world go by with a cuppa. The breakfast in the morning is enough to set you up for the day and the cooked option is very tasty and attractively presented, very nice coffee here too. Staff are very friendly and accommodating and the manager was keen to assist when I was facing a problem showing genuine concern and helping us out, which I really appreciate. There is a very personal touch to the experience here and always someone ready to have a chat, just a lovely atmosphere!

Pros:

Room was nicely decorated and clean. Bed was comfortable. Good shower. Hearty breakfast and good selection of meals at dinner.

Great hospitality at a characterful Peebles hotel.
Pros:

The Crown is a historic hotel in the centre of Peebles. It’s at the hub of a thriving community, with a unique, friendly atmosphere. The staff are great, straightforward, helpful and friendly, it’s clean and well-maintained. Food is delicious, fresh, and - like the accommodation - exceptionally good value.

Cons:

The bar can get noisy particularly on important days for Scottish football - and though it falls silent after about 11pm it can be riotous (mostly in a good way) before that.

Friendly hotel with fabulous food
Pros:

Lovely clean accommodation with a comfortable bed. Staff friendly and the breakfast had to be one of the best we’ve had in a hotel.
We ate in the restaurant in the evening and would definitely recommend, really tasty and great value

Cons:

We had a room next to the cleaners cupboards, hoovering outside our room at 8 o’clock on a Sunday morning and washing machine going wasn’t great as we were looking forward to a lie in as we were child free

Did not need to use the car once we parked up just across from the Crown.

Great value and comfy
Pros:

Great value. Generous size room. Hearty breakfast. Nice evening meal. Comfy bed. Handy for Glentress MTB trails.

Cons:

A little noisy in the room, but not too late and it is a popular bar so understandable. Doesn't have a car park as it's on the high street, but there is a free one 5 minutes walk away over the river.

Very enjoyable and would certainly use the Crown again.
Pros:

Everything was perfect for the both of us. We have been to Peebles many times and stayed in different locations but this was the best so far. The value for money was very good and enjoyed our meal and breakfast. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Cons:

Our room was above the downstairs bar and the noise level was a wee bit noisy on Saturday but other than that it was fine.
