A good price for the room. The bed was very comfortable. Friendly staff.
The heating in the room was off and it was cold. We could not turn it on. A few extra blankets would have worked.
Location
Incredibly rude manager/owner. We booked a table a few days before for 7. On arrival were told in an off hand manner that the restaurant would be closing at 6.30. We accepted this arrived around 5.30. We were shown to a table in the dog friendly lounge which was pushed up against another table and there was no room. We moved across to another table and there ensued a rude unhelpful conversaton with the owner who ended up by saying "I own this place". We left at this point. We also left the pre paid basic room and moved to another hotel.
Nothing really other than it was walking distance from where I wanted to stay
The amenities were below basic: no toiletries at all, no blankets or heaters in the rooms. Reception was closed when I arrived at 4pm so I had to go find my key
The restaurant manager was rude
The breakfast was a basic help-yourself buffet
Convenient location, off-road parking, clean room, great evening meal in the bar and self-service breakfast
Good location for dog owners walking the south west coastal path (20 min bus transfer)
Large grounds to walk the dog
Nothing
Breakfast excellent
Bed had spring poking out of mattress
Breakfast - food not very warm.
All
Was very clean
Very dated and window latch broken off so couldn’t fully close.
Breakfast was very good buffet style. Plenty of choices of hot food and cereals. Staff are very friendly and and attentive to guests requirements.
There was nothing to dislike.
Nice rural view from our room and pub next door with entertainment sometimes.
On Saturday morning breakfast was from 9.0 am !!! We had to be on the road at this time so missed breakfast, but this problem won’t bother most visitors.
I have stayed at Tricky's many times in the past and today was another one of those times. Its a nice hotel, rooms are comfortable, access is easy and parking is ample. Food at the bar is good and this time breakfast was in the bar and not the garden room which was OK, quality was good and better with the buffet service.
The reception is not manned outside of office times and you still need to get the key from the bar which is not so pleasant when its raining. The rooms are a bit cold and not very warm unless the heating is on.
