Great location for our stay
Although the bathroom looks recently upgraded there was grout missing on the bath side panel. The bedroom was looking very tired and neglected there were deep scratches on the bedroom floor. The skirting was discoloured and the furniture had definitely seen better days. There was only 2 uk plug points available and non of these were near a mirror. The smoke detector indicator located above the bedroom door on the corridor was missing just a red wire folded in the space was visible We stayed in a Club room 266

Lovely hotel , friendly staff, front terrace is nice to sit out, swimming pool & spa was great, do use the facilities on offer, definitely choose breakfast option on bookings 10* they have an amazing breakfast
Our iron in our room 182 didn’t work, called reception they said they would organise one to be brought, nothing came & as we were attending a wedding crushed clothes wasn’t the best option. The jacuzzi wasn’t open!! I suggest their is information on opening times for this as we didn’t see any

Room was cold even with radiator on, carpet frayed at window edge. Paintwork could do with redoing especially around skirking board, would really refresh the feel of the room.

Good location, and quiet despite being on a main road and close to motorways. Ideally located as a base for our travels over the weekend. Mattress was nice and firm and loved having a bath, not just a shower. Good adjustable tv screen so you can watch from the bed. Lots on offer at breakfast. Was able to request poached eggs, they were brought to the table. Some small criticisms throughout our stay, but it wouldn't stop us from coming again.
Room was incredibly warm, despite all radiators being off and leaving windows open. It wasnt a particularly warm weekend, but the room wouldn't cool down. No information/welcome book in the rooms about WiFi access, breakfast times or location, or even a menu for the restaurant. Would have expected more in room facilities for a spa hotel, not generic 'hair and body wash', and more to offer on the refreshments other than 1 teabag each and some boiled sweets. No labels on cooked items on breakfast, unsure what some of it was, also had another guest ask me if I knew what some items were but couldn't help.
Convenient for our needs, plenty of on-site parking. We could leave our car for a relatively small charge until our return a few days later.
The step between bar and restaurant that caused a fall! A little dated in its decor and no room safe.
