Perfect
Pros:

Highly recommend and wish we had stayed longer.
Pros:

Wonderful hotel with lovely team looking after us. Superb food with locally sourced produce. Very comfortable rooms and beautiful location. Awesome art displayed in hotel library/lounge/bar areas.

Amazing, unique experience for interior lovers
Pros:

Absolutely amazing!! The level of detail and love that went into everything. A paradise for interior design lovers! Very nice location with the private airstrip. Because it was end March we received an upgrade to a cottage - very much appreciated and this has made the experience absolutely unforgettable! Breakfast was also great and the bed super comfortable. The whole place is spotless too! We will definitely come back for more than one night next time. P.S. also loved the cows!!

Cons:

Nothing - it's a gem! We weren't made aware that the restaurant only opens in April but we received the upgrade to the cottage to make our own dinner. This was phenomenal and really appreciated!

Found cost too high for the overall experience.
Pros:

Excellent breakfast, dinner not up to expectations.
Room was most comfortable and thoughtfully dressed.
Staff very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

Although a Sunday evening, dinner not up to expectations. Also table cloths badly creased and napkins incorrect size for evening meal.
Menu had vegetables at an extra price and we felt that they should be within price of the main dish in an hotel of this calibre.

Stay here if you like sumptuous surroundings and thoughtful touches.
Pros:

Relaxed atmosphere, friendly helpful and attentive staff, lovely rooms with attention to detail and super clean. All details well thought out.

Great retreat well worth a visit, high quality accomodation and food.
Pros:

Excellent accomodation and everything at a very high standard. The staff were very welcoming and our cottage was amazing. We had the 3 bedroom cottage with log burner that was already lit for us coming in. Great selection of drinks and the food was of a very high quality. The breakfast is a continental breakfast but excellent selection of food, teas and coffees. Would highly recommend Newhall mains, well worth a visit.

Cons:

only a very small thing is the dining room in the evening could be laid out slightly better to create a better ambience.

Pros:

This is a very special place - it has its own sweet herd of long horn cattle, a sauna, a lovely library space and paintings loaned from the Edinburgh galleries. The staff were super friendly and accommodating.

Cons:

It would have been nice to have had a small gym or fitness room.

A little piece of heaven
Pros:

It was truly perfect, we were sad to leave and hope to return. The food was superb as was the dining room. All the staff were very friendly and we appreciated all they did for us to make our stay memorable

Amazing stay in the countryside in this beautiful hotel
Pros:

Amazing hotel, very beautiful. Every single thing in the cottage was top quality. Staff went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. A special mention to Ignasi. Restaurant top notch. Amazing sauna. We will definitely come back!

Beautiful hotel in peaceful surroundings
Pros:

Beautiful hotel with amazing facilities and very comfortable rooms. The staff were all lovely and made sure that we were very well looked after. The sauna overlooking the highland cows also completely won me over.
