Location
The bed was very uncomfortable. There was a lot of noise outside the room until the early hours including banging on the window.
There was no drinking water provided, lack of real coffee at breakfast and very poor quality breakfast.
Friendly, helpful staff. Excellent shower in bathroom. Breakfast very generous portions.
Excellent for one or two night stay, but evening menu very basic (though burgers outstanding). Hanging space in room very limited.
Very helpful with our late check in request, lovely breakfast, lovely people, nothing too much trouble!
Nothing
The staff, pub, food, and courtyard were all great. All the reviews are all accurate so read them and judge for yourself negative and positive.
The internet only works if you are near the pub, and not in your room. The toilet was difficult to get to flush, the shower water took ages to drain away, and the shower head could not be adjusted up.
Great location, good restaurant
Rooms a little basic
The staff, very welcoming and friendly.
Also very helpful.
Rooms were simple but they did have a fan as the days we stayed were so hot.
Bed was comfy! Slept like a baby.
Food there was good too.
Great outdoor space.
Massive car park.
The only thing was the hotel was on a main road and getting out of there was a mission especially how fast the cars go.
But that doesn't go against the hotel.
Just making people away.
Everything was just right, including a tasty breakfast.
Superb breakfast
Cleanliness
Bar shut early
The layout around a courtyard with plenty of outside seating
.....
Breakfast good location quiet & easy to find.
Mattress was very soft & bouncy.
Quiet setting well kept garden and surroundings. Comfortable beds and very friendly staff.
Breakfast ingredients were not the best.
The food was delicious
Very clean
We clarified and got the ok from Booking.com that we could arrive later than 9 pm as we were coming from a wedding . When we arrived at 10pm the hotel was closed. We phoned them up but there was no answer. We knocked and still no reply. Nobody came. We waited 20 minutes trying to see how to get somebody’s attention As we were in the middle of the countryside we had no other possibility than driving back to London.
Location
It’s old and tired, could be a very nice hotel but left to rot really! Shame!
