Pros:

The Aberdeen Arms in Tarland, did what it was meant to do for two nights.
Bed's were comfortable, en suite was ok, tea and coffee was provided.
Sadly the place is in need of a refurb', in my opinion.

Pros:

Astonishing value for money. All the people who have left negative reviews should remember how much they have paid! Beds super comfy. Brilliant to have a full sized fridge, a microwave and kettle. Great location for Tarland mountain bike trails. Lovely cafe next door.

Avoid aberdeen Arms Hotel

The location was absolutely perfect

Cons:

The whole place was filthy, mould around the shower, no shower curtain, carpet not hoovered, furniture was dusty. Mirrors filthy.The kettle did not fit under the tap, had to be filled with a cup. I recommend Booking.com delete them from their listing.

Very disappointing
Pros:

It was quiet!

Cons:

The hotel is in urgent need of a thorough clean & facelift. Soap from previous customer was still on top of shower & chocolate wrapper was left on the floor behind the bin. The shower was filthy! Toilet, however, was clean thankfully! Cleanliness is as important in a 2 star as it is in any other star rated hotel. The place has plenty of potential but we would not visit again in its current state. Some guidance for the current owners might be beneficial!
