Toen we aankwamen rijden met de taxi, dachten we: waar zijn we in hemelsnaam belandt. Maar toen de taxi stopte en wij via een smalle stenen trap naar beneden liepen, kwamen we in een oase van gezelligheid en sfeer en luxe uit. Personeel was super gezellig en vriendelijk. Alles was super mooi en het was in een soort van dal gebouwd. Mooi zwembad, mooie spa (waar we helaas geen gebruik van konden maken gezien onze tijd). Een heerlijk restaurant, fantastisch terras en het uitzicht adembenemend. Alleen de muziek stond naar onze mening iets te luid, we moesten bijna schreeuwen om elkaar op het terras te verstaan. Maar een echte aanrader, mits je in het bezit van een auto of taxi bent, want het ligt niet echt op loopafstand van Tulbagh stad af.
Er zijn eigenlijk geen minpunten voor dit resort. Het enige wat misschien anders kon in onze ogen, dat was de muziek. Deze was super gezellig, maar wel erg luid en op het terras moesten we echt schreeuwen tegen elkaar om te praten met elkaar.
Lovely place with a very comfy and spacious room. Friendly staff and the food was to die for. We had the curry for dinner and it was fantastic.
The staff, especially Melody, Shirley, Godfrey and Kifra were absolutely wonderful! Very friendly, helpful and incredibly accommodating with all my different requests. Their excellent service really made the whole experience such a pleasure!
On arrival in the afternoon there was no power and it was only restored at midnight. Maybe invest in a generator or solar as a backup.

The hygiene and cleanliness of the rooms is questionable! My first room they checked me into was not even cleaned, the bathroom was full of hair and was full of water before I could even open my bags. I was disgusted. They moved me to a suite- absolutely filthy. Dust everywhere, furniture hasn’t been cleaned in forever, bedding has stains, dusty , and the bathroom is the terrible. Doors don’t close, water is leaking through the shower , it was awful to say the least.. when I reported to management that the shower was full of hair and filthy they were not surprised.
The atmosphere was fantastic. Great pool, restaurant vibe and patio. Lovely and friendly staff. Truly welcoming on the eyes apart from the private bathroom.
The restaurant food and cocktails were over priced for what we got. The food was sub-par. The cocktails were sub-par (daiquiri was made of some cheap syrup but cost R100. Pizza was R185 but the base wasn't fresh and was closer to a wrap than anything. Burger meat tasted old and chips were hard and undercooked: R165). The pizza on the second night was good though. I don't know if it was a chef thing but not worth R185.
Felt as if the establishment was aware that guests would primarily rely on their food/restaurant and therefore pushed up the price to the unconscionable.
The ad specified daily room cleaning but our room was not cleaned for the entirety of our stay (2 nights).
All in all, our experience would have been significantly better had the food been better with proper day to day cleaning.
Friendly staff. Very helpfull security guy who escorted us in the dark with torch to our room. Nice breakfast.
No warm water, no staff available on property after hours, TV remote batteries flat. There were no bread available at brekfast , but eventually they did serve bread with breakfast. We could let the friendly guy who served us breakfast no about the remote and cold water.
Property has a lot of potential, but needs upkeep and management. We were the only guests on Monday evening. Maybe the overnight accomodation should'nt be available during the week- only weekends. Looks as if it a nice place as a venue over weekends.
The bar staff was excellent. Loved their coctails.
Place we stayed in was spacious.
There were roaches running around in our unit kitchen and the bathroom shower door was broken
The restaurant and bar were very tastefully decorated and the food was good ( limited due to power outage though).
The interior of the room was spacious and tastefully put together.
There was a power outage and no back up. Nobody offered hot water to be boiled on gas to wash. Alternative back up should be in place. I was not even offered a lamp or a candle to find my way around in the dark. The patio area outside the room was not well maintained and looked scruffy.
didnt get the room I paid for. Absolute false advertising. The room, including the bed linen was filthy

Room with balcony/patio is not really a balcony/patio as it is too small to sit comfortably
Room nothing like the pictures on booking.com. Windows cracked. Bare floors. Cockroaches. No privacy in toilet as window that should be frosted is scratched off. Shower head dirty and clogged. Min bar in room empty. Safe has no key. No hairdryer. No toiletries. Restaurant poor. Only pizza and chicken wings on the menu. No milk for lattes with breakfast. Definitely not what a 4 star should offer
