Pros:

Great location and very nice reception and bar area.

After a bad experience with the loud music the manager did settle our drinks and incidental bill. That was a good recovery.

Cons:

Had a function with loud music that went on all afternoon until after 11 pm. They had told us there was a function but the loud music was next level.

Room and particularly the bathroom need an update - very tired.

The hotel looks tired and there didn’t appear to be anyone in overall charge.
Pros:

Very average breakfast. The staff were trying their best but were clearly overwhelmed.

Cons:

Only had a choice of 1 thing for breakfast , anything else had to be paid for. Some fruit or fruit juice should have been included. The evening meal was truly dreadful.
There are a lot of steps, not suitable for anyone with mobility problems.
The chairs on the patio were broken. More comfortable ones need to be made available

Pros:

I liked the upgrade to the suite without asking for it. Liked the pool area.

Cons:

Restaurant was quite pricy and waitng time extremely long despite the fact there were no other customers for half of the time. Pizza was good but R210 for medium size pizza is a bit extreme.
We were warned about tap water being brown and there was a complimentary bottle of water in the room. However, the water in it was brown as well.

The location is wonderful, there is a lot of potential. It is very open and light.

Cons:

The room wasn't clean, the toothpaste was still in the sink, the shower wasnt clean. Our terrace, the chairs, the table weren't also not clean at all. The breakfastarea was dusty in the morning, the tables weren't set up for the guests. The staff wasn't trained. They didnt know what is on the breakfast menue. The menue itself was cut in half, so we could only choose between 4 meals. We guess there was much more to offer. Anyway the menue didn't look professionel. There was no offer on the menue regarding coffee choices and that we had to pay for the hot beverages at the end. In generel the hot beverages are included in the breakfast, if not, we should have been told so.
Mut the manager gave us discount at the end, which was very fair. Thank you Mr. Keller.

Cons:

Hot tub was disappointing as there was no cover over it when we arrived and water was dirty. We did request to groundkeeper in the vicinity to replace with clean water but nothing came of the request…

Beautiful stay, rooms clean and love that they have aircon in the rooms. Restaurant food and cocktails are amazing.
Pros:

I like the look and feel of the restaurant, the music and the pool location. Beautiful greenery and plants

Cons:

The amount of mosquitoes they have. Unfortunately it’s out of their control but they do put in certain measures to alleviate them.

Pros:

Warmly Welcomed by Hostess Charne. All the staff including Gilmer the maintenance manager were amazing....too many names to mention it will take up my whole review. Met the owner Liam who is really making this place 'The Dream' for his Mom. It is really soul warming. You are really making it magical. Can't wait to stay with you.again in a renovated room. Menu was small but food was excellent. No veggies but staff and chef managed to present me the most Devine roasted mix.

Very friendly front of house staff.
Pros:

Eclectic shabby chic feel. Good pool. Excellent breakfast. Staff very engaging to speak to and clearly keen to see the development of the property.

Cons:

Bed and bedlinen could be improved. Brown water from taps and toilet flushing a bit offputting.

The stay was comfortable, room was clean.. Staff friendly....

Cons:

No hairdryer in room and would have been nice if there was a handrail at pool steps for older guests(just a thought)

Barman was new, no help/training to make cocktails, but was willing and tried his best... Not his fault!!

Guests complained @ breakfast.. No jam for toast, only 1 kind juice, no choice white or brown toast....

If you use to 4star hotels in Cape Town then book the Suite
Pros:

Staff was friendly , the pool area was super clean and the view was stunning. The suite room was lovely, modern and spacious.

Cons:

Initially booked the Standard Room (Room 1) , but it was very old and you could see that it needed some care and attention. I saw that the Suite was still available and asked if I could pay the extra and upgrade my room and what a big difference ,I was instantly happier and was then satisfied as the room was modern and looked decent compared to the standard room which had a old brass basin in it and the taps were brass and ugly and the shower didnt look too good ( I was not use to such a room at a boutique hotel- as I explore hotels frequently and it just didnt meet the expected standard). Breakfast menu at the restaurant is very limited. Had the pancakes and my mom had the granola muesli with fruit and yoghurt (very dry and only had banana and apple- expected berries , strawberries and perhaps they could ask which yoghurt you want with it)

Good value for money and the rooms are quiet spacious. The staff are very kind and attentive.
Pros:

The staff were very helpful and polite. We liked the size of the room and being surrounded by nature. The vibe was also good at the restaurant.

Cons:

The room had a lot of mosquitos. The hotel needs some work and maintenance.
