Pros:

Family run haveli in a beautiful location on Lake Pichola, with stunning views across to the Taj Lake Palace, Ambrai Ghat and The Oberoi in the distance. The rooftop terrace was a lovely place to enjoy the view and I liked old style furniture and books they have.

Cons:

The haveli could be smartened up a bit as it’s a bit tired looking in places. The quality of the restaurant food could also be improved.

We stayed over a week, loving the atmosphere, view and spacious room to return to.
Pros:

Incredible building in an incredible location. Sensitively decorated with art and textiles from the region. Stunning view of the lake from our room and from the roof top dining area. Easy access to great parts of Udaipur by foot and plenty of wonderful eating options nearby. Although it's close to the busyness of the old city it's really quiet and peaceful. We also had a room upgrade when we arrived which meant we had a beautiful balcony overlooking the lake with spectacular sunset views.

Cons:

We had a few water issues in our bathroom. The staff were responsive in dealing with them effectively but it was inconvenient. The staff also weren't willing to help us book train tickets although everywhere else we stayed in India we received this support.

Pros:

Un magique haveli avec une vue extraordinaire. Emplacement incroyable, personnel adorable qui nous a préparé un petit dej pour un départ très tôt.
Nous avons eu la chance d'être upgraded et d'avoir une suite merveilleuse.

Emplacement exceptionnel
Pros:

Un emplacement unique, on avait même une terrasse privative avec vue sur le Lake Palace.

Pros:

View from the room is Good , close to monuments and market.

Cons:

No access to vehicles though tuk tuks are available to cover those and those riders are ready to fleece , have to walk the last 200-300 meters to reach , with a steep climb at times .
No lift in the property , breakfast at the terrace on the fourth level tires one out .

LOVELY FAMILY HAVELLI HOTEL RIGHT ON THE LAKE IN UDAIPUR.
Pros:

Lovely family Havelli, right on the lake at Lal Ghat. Wonderful place to stay to enjoy Udaipur and its attractions. Very restful place with family restaurant on the rooftop, giving great views of Lake Pichola. Comfortable spacious room.

- The room was comfortable and well-maintained.
- The staff were very polite, courteous, and helpful throughout the stay.

- The rooftop seating area could be improved. The seating felt a little unhygienic and was not very comfortable.
- Most of the chairs appeared to be made of iron/steel, with only a small cushion or pillow provided for comfort. For a property positioned as a premium hotel, I expected the rooftop seating to be more comfortable and better designed.
- The food was good, but I felt it was slightly overpriced. The pricing could be a little more reasonable.
- Apart from these points, I had a pleasant overall stay and enjoyed the rooftop view and food.

Charming with great views
Pros:

Gorgeous restored haveli on the waterfront with wonderful views of the lake including from the rooftop restaurant.
The place was really charming and our room was a surprise - bigger than we expected with a little balcony and nicely decorated. Breakfast was fine. You couldn't ask for a better setting to have breakfast. It is right next door to a much more expensive hotel. Brilliant location near the city palace and main temple. With boats from Ghat a couple of minutes away.

Cons:

Cars need to stop 6 to 8 minutes walk from the haveli and you cannot order a rickshaw Uber to the haveli either. They have to stop at the same parking site. Although there are other rickshaws available to order on the street.
The old town is very chaotic with respect to traffic - rickshaws and motorbikes on very narrow alleys with incessant honking of horns. The haveli itself is up a quieter alley.
