Everything. The location is perfect, the view is outstanding and the architecture and decor of the place is curated in every detail. It really feels like stepping into a heritage property. I also got upgraded to a room with private terrace and I loved it.
If I have to mention one thing, there was no air conditioning in the room. I personally don’t mind, but it’s something to mention.
Beautiful setting and lovely owners. I would recommend. They also organise a taxi from the airport for us which was wonderful and very easy.
The location is bang on… right in the middle of everything. The staff is amazing. Breakfast and lake views are fantastic.

The complimentary water bottles were only given for one day… never repeated. The room cleaning services were not asked. Many facilities like hair dryer, etc as mentioned was not there.

Hard bed, loud at night
Kind and friendly staff, beautiful heritage property owned by the same family for 250years. Amazing location.
Stairs! Ask for a ground floor room if you have any trouble with stairs. It’s a shame to miss the roof top restaurant, but the amazing staff will bring meals and breakfast down to the library pavilion for you which is next best thing. Right next door to the another roof top restaurant with elevator access for the same spectacular roof top views, but the stay at Kankarwa is comparable.
A good hotel in a great location overlooking the lake.
A lot of stairs plus the dining area wasn't comfortable. Go to the hotel next door to eat. Much nicer!
Stunning property and view in a perfect location. Balcony in the room overseeing lake was amazing.
Rooms had some sharp edges and steep stairs so may not be suitable for everyone.

La terrasse ou prendre le petit déjeuner est très agréable, la vue de la terrasse (et pas des chambres) le personnel qui reste agréable et la situation
Le prix! Les chambres ne ressemblent pas à ce que les images du site promettent, propreté pas génial, vitres salles, pas de prises électriques pour téléphone etc. Cet établissement pourrait avoir beaucoup de charme mais aucun effort n’est fait pour la décoration, les coussins sont tachés et les matelas de lit très inconfortable pour des occidentaux.
The hotel staff were very welcoming and helpful. The views from my bedroom over the lake were beautiful and the room was very comfortable and nicely furnished.

Beautiful view from my room and the breakfast terrace. Very close to city palace and old town lanes . Friendly helpful staff. Good breakfast. All food made to order. Tuk tuks available very close by.
Bathroom was a bit tired and basic but it was adequate for a couple of days.
We had the best room in the hotel-219. Like a penthouse flat with amazing views. Just below us there’s a terrace where you have breakfast with the best view in Udaipur. The staff were very helpful and courteous. The location is perfect right in the centre of the city on the lakeside.
The restaurant is really only open for meals if you go and find someone. We ate just the once in our 6 nights and there’s better places just next door. The lounge downstairs feels more like it’s for the family than guests and there’s no other real amenities other than the terrace.

Muy caro y muy cutre, muchas escaleras sin ascensor. Justo detras esta el Jagat Niwas mucho mejor y con ascensor y con restaurante fenomenal. El restaurante del Kankarva para olvidar. No te alojes en el Kankarva. El Jagat tiene tuktuk propio para recogerte en Chandpol Gate.
Me equivoque en elegirlo porque tenia suite con vistas al lago aunque era super cutre. Las vistas desde los dos restaurantes del Jagat Niwas, una cubierta y otra descubierta en la planta de arriba, tienen vistas aun mejores
La chambre avec la magnifique vue sur le lac, le restaurant peu fréquenté pour prendre le petit déjeuner et le dîner, l’emplacement à côté du City Palace, le personnel très sympathique.
