Hotel Sarazena

Good location

Everything was great. Only minor thing was that the room was next to a train station, and every half hour we heard the train come in. But it seemed to stop from midnight to 5am or so. Staff was great, room was nice, breakfast was good. Location right in town and easy access to the train.

After a full day of hiking, it was such a pleasure to return to our clean, spacious, and comfortable hotel room to relax. We especially enjoyed soaking in the bathtub and taking in the breathtaking view of the Matterhorn from the balcony. Each morning, the generous and delicious breakfast spread was the perfect way to fuel up for another day of adventure. Hotel Sarazena is also ideally located—right next to the train station and the Coop grocery store. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better stay in Zermatt. Merci!

We were warmly welcomed by Diana. The room was comfortable and spacious. It had a view of the Matterhorn! It is conveniently located next to the train station and other sights.

Hotel is a short walk from the SBB train station. It is also next to the Gornergrat Railway station. Room are large and beds are comfortable.

The staff were all amazing and went out of thier way to take great care of us. Loved our stay.

Hotel Sarazena is very close to the Zermatt train station, so you don't have to drag your luggage across the whole town to get to your hotel. It is very close to Gornergrat Railway Station to get you up to the mountain. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very nice too. Even though it is very close to the two railway stations, the sound insulation is so good that we barely noticed the outside noises. Also, we have a Matterhorn view from our room. Wonderful stay at Zermatt.

We had a fantastic 3 day stay at this lovely hotel, rooms spacious and clean, big comfy bed, tasty breakfast, close to town and both railway stations. We were getting the 1st Glacier Express that morning, and they kindly did an early breakfast sitting. Would highly recommend

A lovely small hotel very close to the railway station. Felt very safe in Zermatt. Hotel had luxurious bedding and a satisfying breakfast. Would certainly return if ever in Zermatt again.

It’s nice the last day we left early they prepared breakfast sandwiches for us because we couldn’t make it normal breakfast time.

Breakfast was great and I loved that they had hard woods floor throughout. Right next to the train station and very convenient. Helpful staff.

Agnes and team were all very professional and accommodating. Great place to stay. The cleanliness is top notch. And the location is just perfect if you don’t want to walk far from the train station (or pretty much from everywhere else). Happy I stayed here. Definitely recommending it to friends.

Front office so friendly & kind. Train station 1-2 minutes away for with very easy access to Glacier Express and other trains. Breakfast absolutely delicious!

What a fantastic hotel! Perfectly located near the train station and town, it’s tucked away in a quiet area, making it ideal for convenience, accessibility, and peace. Plus, it’s only a 20-minute walk to the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise—definitely take the walk instead of the bus; it’s so much more enjoyable!

The room was lovely, featuring a balcony with breathtaking views of the Matterhorn and modern details like great lighting and plenty of charging points. While the bathroom was a little dated and the shower controls were a touch tricky, it was nothing that detracted from the overall experience.

Breakfast was excellent, with a wonderful selection of meats, bread, fresh fruit, and yogurt to start the day right.

The service was equally impressive—I was able to leave my bag with the hotel for the day, and when my room was ready, they kindly took it up for me. Such thoughtful touches really made my stay memorable!
