Hotel Iceberg Borovets

Hotel room wasn’t cleaned properly especially the floors they weren’t brushed mopped or hoovered at all! Shouldn’t have to keep saying to reception for them to be cleaned, also had a perfume stolen by maids to which staff couldn’t care less. Beds were also severely uncomfortable.

It was dirty and broken.

Some small things need to be fixed/repaired or cleaned (e.g. no electrical plugs around the bed, or plugs not well fixed on the wall).

Очень сильная слышимость( плохая звукоизоляция) с соседями ( . Не очень чисто. Неудобные подушки. В СПА-зоне чувствуется запустение. В раздевалке СПА совсем не работают шкафчики( закрывается на ключ только один).

The bed was broken my daughter fell flat on the floor. The curtains were torn and had cigarette burns.

We experienced several issue during our stay.
The staff were dismissive while we were there and have not responded to correspondence since being home.
We would not stay here again. Certainly not 4 star service and not value for money.
There are many places for better value around borovets, we have stayed in borovets several times at different types and price ranges and not experienced such appalling conditions especially for the price we paid.

We had a deluxe apartment and apartment for £3400 for 6 nights
Another family member had a double room on a separate booking and experienced similar issues in their room.
We all opted for half board.

The food was very limited and barely warm unless you were there when first put out.

In terms of the rooms.
There were only 2 hangers available we asked for more and were denied.
We had no smoke detector in 1 room, a severe risk to life.
Bedside lamps with no sockets anywhere near to use them.
Sockets available had an extension lead in for the fridge, the only other in the main space was behind a wardrobe which we had to move to use.
The sockets in the room our boys used, one was hanging out the wall by its wires. The other didn’t always work.
Bed side light in other room did not work.
Curtains were ripped, too long and did not work.

Chunks out walls and doors, dirty walls and patches that had lifted and hanging off.

A glass shelf had smashed while we were out in the bathroom. It took many hours to get someone to come and help us clean it, once the maid had been they left the keys to every room in the hotel in our door a security risk for all staying there, lucky for them we are honest and handed them straight in to reception.

We had one evening without running water or flushing toilet, so had to use toilets in lobby before bed 7 floors away.

The adjoining rooms we had for our family (3 adults and 1 child) were pretty dated and badly in need of a refurb. The beds were also pretty old and again, could do with replacing. There was damage to the walls in the corridor, which again, if they were fixed up would make a big difference to the overall general feeling of upkeep.

not very central, breakfast was just ok.

TV in room tiny and never worked. Shower stall dated and somewhat broken but functional. A little far from the center.
