Hotel UTO KULM car-free

Das mehr oder weniger ganz normale Frühstück.

First of all, we paid additional fee in order to have Lake and city view, though it was visible only from the very corner of our balcony, if I knew in advance that it will look like that, I wouldn’t pay 40CHF for that. During our first night there, they’ve been having a party or wedding. Music been playing till 1am. We basically could hear all the songs and how people were singing and talking, because celebration was going right under our balcony. We expected it to be calm runaway for the weekend and were very disappointed by that. Also, all signs in the hotel are in Dutch, so if you are foreigner it might be difficult to orient. During our first visit to SPA, we got lost since SPA is located in a different building and there are no clear signs and no stuff there as well.
Our room was quite clean, but it definitely requires renovation.

Maybe a little pricey but if you are prepared for this and don't mind treating yourself then it is all more than worth it.

There was no proper air conditioning but a ventilation in the ceiling, which was tolerable in +22 C but not when hotter. The view from our room was not so convenient, since it was located on the ground floor and to the hallway. We only got one key, which made it a bit difficult sometimes, but probably would get another one by asking.

Es hat zu viel Betrieb. Drei Hochzeiten gleichzeitig, mindestens zwei die oben gefeiert haben. DIe Musik war entsprechend laut. Wir konnten unser Fenster im Zimmer deshalb nicht öffnen, es war also heiss im Zimmer. Da müsste man vorgewarnt werden als Gast. Denn man denkt eher an Ruhe und Erholung, wenn man im Uto Kulm ein Zimmer bucht.

Steam room was a bit smelly

The door stopper on the floor is awkwardly placed in front of the sliding door of the wardrobe/minibar cabinet, and judging by its state I'm not the first whose toe got in the way...
Our room was overlooking an internal courtyeard with view of an event dining room. Bear in mind that the hotel hosts many events and you may expect some level of noise/have to shut the windows and blinds for complete privacy.

The rooms have no airconditioning and on hot days it was incredibly warm in our room. We did get a small fan to use. But this was quite loud and did not really help much.

Also getting to the hotel is a bit tricky. It’s absolutely worth it for the views and exploring the area. But it’s good to know that you can’t reach the hotel by car or public transport, you have to go to station Uetliberg. If you let the hotel know your arrival time they can come get your bags from the station, but you will have to walk 10min to the hotel yourself.

Assurdo da raggiungere, assolutamente sperduto, privo di possibilità di essere raggiunto in auto ed in assenza di collegamenti. Un treno disponibile ma nella tratta antecedente e successiva ci sono da fare molte peripezie con valigie. Personale indifferente alle esigenze. Ci siamo fatti una salita con 4 valigie a piedi. Se piove è una tragedia

El tren si nomtienes el swiss pass vale 4,70 euros francos por persona y trayecto solo por dos paradas.
A demás las ventanas de la habitación daban al restaurante por lo que teníamos que tener las cortinas siempre corridas
