Wonderful historic hotel in the heart of the pueblo magico of Alamos
Pros:

We loved the beautiful old building in the historic centre of Alamos. We did not know about Maria Felix before we came but googled her life and found it interesting. The pool was lovely and we had it all to ourselves. Our bedroom was spacious and beautifully decorated. There was a very attractive breakfast restaurant five minutes walk from the hotel. La Teserita and a lovely restaurant in the main square where we had the best meal we have had in Mexico. Plenty of room in the street to park. Alamos and the hotel are wonderful!

No hairdryer ( but a very minor grumble)

Pros:

It was quiet and we received personalized attention upon arrival. Luz was a wonderful host and she ensure we had transportation upon arrival and departure. She went past and beyond her responsibilities. I rented the deluxe room and it had a small kitchen.

Cons:

The hotel does not have a restaurant nor does offer continental breakfast. While they offer coffee, it would be nice to have yogurt, granola, OJ, fruit, would go a long way. The kitchen did not have utensils.

Lovely! A relaxing and charming retreat.
Pros:

So much character and charm! The grounds are well kept and the staff is kind and helpful. Very quiet and a little “ away” from the central plaza which we liked.

Cons:

Beds are a little too firm and kitchen could use more utensils.

Pros:

there was no breakfast. Only a coffee machine. The staff were very friendly and the place was spotless. The building is very unique and has its' own museum to Maria Feliz. Very cool lighting in the evening around the property using props and indirect lighting.

Cons:

The staff went home at 5 pm and we were on our own to come in and out a locked door. There was no one to contact of we needed something. This is more like a motel

Great and comfortable space to stay.
Pros:

Love the personnel, super attentive, helpful, and friendly. They were always willing to make us feel the most comfortable possible. Everything it's really close at a walking distance.

Cons:

There were some insects inside de room and in the pool surroundings, but wasn't a big deal, we got mosquito repellent and fixed it.
