Pros:

Hotel absolutamente singular. Se aloja uno en un edificio histórico del siglo XV, magníficamente restaurado y lleno de alma. Saber que sus orígenes se remontan a los dominicos y que después estuvo ligado a los Fúcares da todavía más profundidad a la experiencia en Almadén.

Pero lo mejor no fue solo el edificio, sino la acogida de José Antonio y su mujer. A su amabilidad se une algo poco frecuente: la posibilidad de conversar sin prisa. En varios momentos de mi estancia, especialmente durante el desayuno, pude disfrutar de una tertulia larga y muy agradable sobre la historia de España, de Almadén y del propio lugar.

De toda mi ruta, probablemente ha sido el hotel más emblemático, y no solo de esta ruta, sino de los que uno sigue recordando con los años.

You can hear the silence
Pros:

Jose Antonio was a most attentive host. As we were the only guests, he upgraded us to a large suite, which was full of character, and so comfortable that we almost slept past breakfast time. The breakfast was classic toast with olive oil, grated tomato and jamón.

Cons:

Our only quibble was that the house is so old and solid that the wifi signal did not penetrate through the walls into our suite.

DESAYUNO COMPLETO, VARIADO Y ABUNDANTE. SU DIRECTOR, D. JOSÉ ANTONIO, ADEMÁS DE AMABLE Y ATENTO, ES UN ILUSTRADO EN LA HISTORIA DEL INMUEBLE Y PUEDE DAR RESEÑAS MUY INTERESANTES SOBRE EL MISMO.
EN DEFINITIVA, ES UN ALOJAMIENTO MUY RECOMENDABLE, SOBRE TODO PARA QUIENES GUSTEN SALIR DE LO CONVENCIAL.
