Great stay for location purposes , staff were really helpful and facilities were just what you need

Could’ve been much better

Never in my life have I had to remind the same thing 10 times to the staff and STILL not have my issue resolved. Kept asking why there was no hot water. They kept saying it’ll get resolved but never did. Ended up showering with cold water.

Asked them if they could pack something for us from the buffet since we had to leave early for the train station. Again, I had told this and reminded the previous day and the morning itself. Guess what, even though they confirmed they’ll have it ready, the food wasn’t ready/packed and we had to leave hungry.

Poor communication amongst staff and indifference towards customer’s request.

Best part is location and late evening walk at heritage path and spend time with kids .
Pros:

Location is closest to Golden Temple, nice room and and cleanliness. best part is location and late evening walk at heritage path and spend time just out side hotel with kids playing with toy helicopter.
Thanks for Manjit Singh ( manager) to accommodate late check out for parents , it gave us tome to do local shopping . So over all great experience .

Chose this hotel for its location!
Pros:

Location is spot on! It is barely 100m from Golden Temple. Other than that the hotel is strictly OK. Rooms are sufficient although there is constant smell of poor drainage in room. Breakfast is ok, nothing great but not bad either.

Cons:

Poor drainage in bathrooms.

Abode is ideal for its proximity to Darbar Sahib, comfortable rooms, and friendly staff.
Pros:

I had an exceptional stay at Abode. The staff were incredibly helpful, from the front desk to the cleaning team and restaurant staff, with special mention to Jaskiret Singh, Jasbinder Singh, Amanbir Singh, Jasvinder Singh, Kamaljeet, Rekha, and the Manager, who we had the pleasure of meeting during breakfast. The breakfast was delightful – though limited in variety, it exceeded my expectations.

The location is perfect, just a short 2-3 minute walk to Darbar Sahib, which made it easy for us to visit multiple times a day, including early mornings at 2 am. Situated right on the main Heritage Street, Abode is free from vehicle noise, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the lively pedestrian street.

Overall, my stay at Abode was truly worth every penny. I absolutely loved it!

A more welcoming experience could be achieved with regular wet mopping and vacuuming of the room floors. Additionally, ensuring the toilet bowls are consistently stain-free – possibly with bleach – would add to the cleanliness (though this was only a minor issue).

For safety, the back door should remain consistently locked, and the main entrance could be enhanced with room card access or controlled by the reception desk, especially given the busy nature of the street outside.

Finally, a more convenient payment option for foreign guests, such as credit card acceptance, would make the check-in process smoother.
