Lovely building & setting, friendly & helpful staff, delicious food. Will definitely recommend.
Pros:

The location was perfect, food delicious, staff friendly and helpful. Our room had lovely views over the garden and countryside. The bed was very comfortable and the room clean. There was plenty of outside seating in sun or shade. Watching people and dogs in the lovely river by the bridge was so peaceful and relaxing. Would love to stay again.

Cons:

we had asked for a room with a shower, but the one we had was not on the wall, but part of the taps, so we had to sit in the bath and hold it. Saying that, it was powerful and the water was hot immediately. It’s just our personal preference.
We came in the heatwave, which nobody can do anything about, but the tea cakes in a tin on a hot window ledge could have been replaced with cookies maybe? They were inedibly melted, which just made us laugh actually.

The scenic attraction.

Quick stop over
Pros:

Lovely surroundings and very polite staff. Even if they didnt know something they went to find out for us. The breakfast was absolutely gorgeous. Compliments to the chef.

Cons:

Not really too bothered as we are aware its dog friendly but we noticed quite alot of dog hair under the table of a couple who left before us at breakfast and they didnt have a dog so been there a while. I appreciate you cant keep hoovering up every 5 mins but we went to breakfast early so dont think it was from that morning? Our room was lovely and clean tho.

wish we could have stayed for a week rather than 2 nights.
Pros:

location, decor, pond, food, staff all exceptional

Cons:

shower a bit hard to fathom in room 7, a band was playing on Sunday afternoon, so bar was packed and queues were long would have been good to have fast bar access for guests. Too many posh people with zero volume control, obvs not the Mill's fault - a standard N Norfolk thing.

The staff are delightful - very welcoming and efficient. Food is good.
Pros:

This is a very peaceful location at the end of a long private road, and overlooking a beautiful river.

You can walk from the door and it is worth visiting the nature reserve which is very nearby.

Cons:

The stairs are very dimly lit and there are a lot of little steps so you have to watch carefully where you are going.

Pros:

The staff were so lovely especially Karen lovely friendly person
Room was big and airy
Food was the best I have tasted in years
Garden was beautiful too
Everyone made us feel welcome
Will definitely return

Cons:

This isn’t bad but just ideas the hallways could be a bit
Lighter, very dark getting back to room
No TVs in rooms I know some people aren’t bothered
But we love to watch news before bed and in the morning before
We go out. This isn’t negative about the hotel at all

Gorgeous!
Pros:

It’s a beautiful hotel in gorgeous surroundings, very peaceful. The room and bathroom were very spacious, the bed was super comfy. Breakfast was very good. The gardens and grounds are fabulous.

Cons:

The lighting in the corridors is very low, and the design of the carpet makes it very difficult to see the edge of the many stairs (health & safety issue especially for those with limited vision)

Amazing place to stay
Pros:

I liked everything! Absolutely perfect. A secluded location, a nice long driveway, and as you approach you realise it's going to be a special place to stay. It's the kind of place you might associate with old money. Wooden beams, open fire, solid wood flooring - that's exactly what it is. It's quiet, and stunning. Perfect for a getaway, I was staying for work. I stay away a lot, and this might just be top of my list of places to stay - full of character.

Equally, the food is amazing. A suitably uncomplicated menu. I had steak, cooked to perfection, I don't know what they do to their chips, but the taste.... The couple next to me had a lamb pie for two, a great looking portion and they highly recommended it.

The room had everything I needed, superb shower. Staff were great, the bar area is an old traditional pub style with a selection of local ales and pilsner. Overall I was very pleased, and a good price too.

Cons:

Loved everything
