Pros:

Amaizing place full if green, rooms decorated very nice and the outdoor shower was great. Breakfast was tasty but a bit small

Cons:

After three weeks travelling around Sri Lanka, this was sadly our most disappointing stay. The property felt tired and in need of a serious glow-up. While the sheets were clean (a definite positive), the room overall felt shabby and not reflective of the price charged. The mosquito net was torn and dirty, which wasn’t ideal – and frustratingly, this was the only place on our trip where I ended up with terrible mosquito bites. For the cost, we expected far better.

Tranquil boutique charm in busy Ahangama
Pros:

Abode Ahangama is a nice hotel in a peaceful location away from the hustle and bustle of the main street. It's definitely a boutique hotel feel with only four rooms in the building, so it feels very intimate. Whatever you need, the staff will do their best to accommodate. They helped us arrange bicycles (at an additional cost), giving us the ability to explore the local area which made our stay even better. The breakfast is very good and the staff were happy to make most dishes vegan for us.

Cons:

We stayed for 7 nights and had a really good time, but the stay did feel it was a little pricey compared to our other stays in Sri Lanka in hindsight. The building does feel a little bit rustic, verging on run-down in places. It could all do with a refresh. The communal breakfast area is also a little bit awkward and would be better if there were one or two smaller tables so guests could enjoy breakfast in privacy. Also the coffee making facilities could be improved.

Excellent place!
Pros:

Beautiful colonial house nicely situated well off the busy main road, yet super close to beaches and restaurants in Ahangama. Spacious room with a separate hallway with an indoor-outdoor bathroom with the best shower was really nice! Staff arranged airport transfer and provided a great experience.

Cons:

Not much to dislike - perhaps the place could do with a refresh. A fresh paint job on the in-and outside of the building, some landscaping to make the entrance look a little nicer, some updates on the interior could take this place to the next level.

Pros:

A lovely home nestled a perfect distance from the main Ahangama area. The team at the property are nice and helpful, it was clean and very relaxing!

Cons:

The shower area was clogged sometimes but apart from that, it’s a great place to stay!

Skøn oase at holde ferie i. Stille og roligt kvarter.
Pros:

Virkelig fint sted at bo.
Hele villaen var skøn og der var altid personale til at hjælpe. Du kan tage gratis vand, te og kaffe.
Poolen er skøn og du får udleveret poolhåndklæder.
Mega sejt badeværelse som er udendørs!

Cons:

Det var ret mange huller i myggenettet, det trænger til udskiftning.
Jeg anbefaler at leje en scooter så det er nemt at komme frem og tilbage. Der er langt at gå til ahangama.

Bester Aufenthalt in Sri Lanka.
Pros:

Die Außendusche war ein tolles Erlebnis, viel Wasserdruck und heißes Wasser. Man fühlt sich in der Unterkunft wie in einem Spa. Die Fotos werden der Unterkunft nicht gerecht. Uns hat es super gut gefallen und es war die schönste Unterkunft, in der wir in Sri Lanka waren.

Cons:

Man musste relativ lange aufs Frühstück warten, obwohl man am Vortag eine Uhrzeit angegeben hat. Das ist aber alles nicht schlimm gewesen und es ist der einzige Mini-Kritikpunkt.

Pros:

Прекрасная вилла в колониальном стиле, в очень тихом и уютном месте. Комфортные комнаты, души под открытым небом, бассейн и ухоженная территория. Очень вежливый и ненавязчивый сервис.

Мне настолько понравилось, что я продлевала проживание и даже вернулась еще раз. Рекомендую ценителям тишины и эстетики старинной виллы.

Nice property good potential but needs more staff!
Pros:

The swimming pool and the rooms, and it's quiet

Cons:

We couldn't have breakfast although we had arranged it with the employee the night before + we also sent a WhatsApp message( as required. You can't order in person. You have to send a WhatsApp with your order and preferred time)with our order for 7 am as we wanted to go surfing early. As we woke up the hotel was empty. No staff there. There are tea and coffee facilities but the coffee pot was empty. Couldn't eve have a coffee. Someone showed up eventually and took our order , then we saw he left with his bike probably to buy groceries for our breakfast. Thats when we understood that breakfast was going to take ages so we left and said we would have breakfast when we come back from surfing at 11. When we came back nobody was there. So we just left with empty stomachs even though we had already paid for breakfast..If I m not wrong there is only 1 or maybe 2 person working in the hotel..not enough!

Goed fijn verblijf met mooi zwembad en tuin
Pros:

Het was een fijn verblijf! Hele mooie kamers en een te leuke buiten badkamer. Mooi zwembad!

Cons:

Het is wel echt buiten het centrum en niks ligt in de buurt. De straat waar het verblijf zich in bevind ligt in een ceremonie straat toen wij er waren, dus hele dag en nacht gezang, trommels en gepraat door de speakers gehad. Dit is niet altijd zo maar wel handig om wellicht even op te zoeken of dit in jouw periode is.

Geweldig verblijf en fijne en behulpzame gastheren.
Pros:

Kleinschalig hotel (4 kamers), mooie tuin en zwembad, private gym, mooie en schone kamer, Midul en de andere mannen zorgen ervoor dat alles naar wens is en zorgen goed voor de accommodatie, uitgebreide ontbijtkeuzes en mogelijkheid tot huren scooters

Super, oase van rust
Pros:

Heerlijk rustige accommodatie, 5 min met tuktuk van het centrum verwijderd. Kamer is ruim en schoon. Buiten-badkamer is echt super mooi. Er is veel keuze voor het ontbijt (a la carte). Daarbij kun je ten alle tijde zelf gratis water, koffie en thee pakken. Het beste is nog wel het zwembad, schoon en groot. Hiervoor zijn er ook aparte handdoeken aanwezig. 100% aanrader.

Cons:

Bedden zijn erg zacht.
