The location was excellent. Less crowded than Ambleside. A lovely lake walk into Ambleside. The rooms were well appointed and comfortable. The breakfast and afternoon scones were delicious.
The grounds were lovely. The glasshouse, the front garden and little areas overlooking the little river.

Die Lage ist perfekt im Ort und trotzdem total ruhig gelegen. Man kann im Garten sitzen oder am Fluss.
Großes und schönes Zimmer (106).
Sehr gutes Frühstück, toller Frühstücksraum und Wintergarten.
Besonders toll finde ich, dass tagsüber kostenlos Kaffee und Scones zur Verfügung stehen.
Nettes Personal.
Man hört leider die Gespräche der Zimmernachbarn und in aller Frühe kommen Lkws mit Lieferungen.
Das Gebläse im Bad läuft ziemlich laut und immer wenn man das Licht anmacht. Auch das hört man von den Nachbarn. Da würde ich mir ein Nachtlicht wünschen, für nächtliche Toilettengänge.
Im Bad gibt es außer der Heizung keine Möglichkeit ein Handtuch aufzuhängen. Ein kleiner Haken am Waschbecken würde da schon reichen.
Die Wanne/Dusche hatte einen verstopften Abfluss, den man mit Chlor zu reinigen versucht hat. Uns wurde gesagt, das ist nicht verstopft, es läuft nur langsam ab, weil der Abfluss nicht senkrecht, sondern waagerecht läuft. Man stand also beim Duschen irgendwann bis zu den Knöcheln im Wasser.
Es gibt nur einen einzigen Kaffeeautomaten für alle Gäste, der noch dazu sehr langsam ist. Also immer Schlange stehen für den Morgenkaffee.

Absolutely gorgeous hotel in beautiful grounds right in town. Very comfortable bed and great shower. Staff were terrific and so welcoming. The included breakfast was amazing, and the complimentary self service cream tea in the afternoons was a wonderful bonus. Lots of lovely indoor and outdoor spaces to sit if you don’t want to be in your room.
The room overlooked a running brook and made for fantastic ambiance for the entire stay. There was also a section of the sitting area which sat overlooking the brook which I very much enjoyed for an evening drink and breakfast. The staff were lovely and Grasmere was a lovely little village to stay.
The room was a good size overlooking the river so very quiet at night, breakfast was a small continental affair which was sufficient. Great location in Grasmere...
The staff are very helpful and extremely pleasant. The lounge area is very tastefully decorated and comfortable.

Beautiful room with balcony overlooking the river. Super king bed was very comfortable. The tea and scones/ pastries a nice touch!

Mooi verzorgd hotel vlakbij de kerk en de brug in Grasmere. Ruime comfortabele kamer, zeer vezorgd warm Engels ontbijt. Leuk is dat je in de namiddag koffie of thee met scones en clotted cream of andere koekien krijgt.
Niets.
Hou er wel rekening mee dat het ontbijt vers wordt gemaakt en dat je daar even op moet wachren.
Onze kamer lag naast de rivier- misschien hebben heel lichte slapers daar last van het geluid van kabbelend water.
Everything! Staff incredibly helpful and welcoming, the complimentary tea and scones on arrival were particularly lovely, the room was gorgeous with stunning views and the breakfast was divine!
