The room was a good size overlooking the river so very quiet at night, breakfast was a small continental affair which was sufficient. Great location in Grasmere...

Beautiful room with balcony overlooking the river. Super king bed was very comfortable. The tea and scones/ pastries a nice touch!

Lack of dinners
Mooi verzorgd hotel vlakbij de kerk en de brug in Grasmere. Ruime comfortabele kamer, zeer vezorgd warm Engels ontbijt. Leuk is dat je in de namiddag koffie of thee met scones en clotted cream of andere koekien krijgt.
Niets.
Hou er wel rekening mee dat het ontbijt vers wordt gemaakt en dat je daar even op moet wachren.
Onze kamer lag naast de rivier- misschien hebben heel lichte slapers daar last van het geluid van kabbelend water.

Everything! Staff incredibly helpful and welcoming, the complimentary tea and scones on arrival were particularly lovely, the room was gorgeous with stunning views and the breakfast was divine!

Amazing location, central yet really relaxing and peaceful with the grounds and places to sit and enjoy breakfast or the wonderful free scones and tea! The staff are so lovely and welcoming and the breakfast was great
The pool and sauna are at a sister hotel down the road, which I hadn’t realised. It is fine but no real facilities to get showered etc just a poolside one there, so a bit of a faff unless staying at that specific hotel
The location was ideal and good parking
We thought the pool facility was actually on site and not a few minutes walk away and the fact you had to book a slot. It put us off having a swim at our leisure
Breakfast was excellent - plenty of options and the hot breakfast was freshly cooked.
Location excellent, in the centre of the village with ample (free) car parking
Steep steps up to the top floor rooms a challenge for the elderly but this is merely nit picking!
