Great option at an affordable price if you want to avoid the expensive offers in the city centre. The hotel is easily accessible by several buses from the Royal Mile in Edinburgh, and the garden centre next door, with a supermarket and restaurant, was an added bonus.

Nice place. Need to add widows that open slightly.

Cons:

Doors banging all day and late into night with guests coming AND going because of spring loaded .noise of water constantly running from above rooms if toilet is flushed or shower on or sink emptied. So bad we only stayed 1 night instead of 3 that we paid for.

Food was outstanding, room large and comfortable.
Pros:

Family room was huge, we had a wheelchair with us and there was plenty of room, very accessible. Food was excellent, best meal I’ve had out in a long time, we all really enjoyed our meal and breakfast was good too.

Cons:

Waitress could have been friendlier, no check to see how our meal was and barely spoke to us when we went up to the bar to pay.
