Old fashioned hotel trying to keep past standards but falling a little short.
Pros:

A very quiet and private location. It was a little difficult to find. It had a lovely garden with outdoor seating. Staff were very helpful. Room was nice.

Cons:

The exterior was a little run down. Food was nice but a bit sparse. Rather expensive across the board for what was provided.

Luxurious break.
Pros:

We have stayed here many times and it never fails to disappoint. We love the swimming pool area and the huge bed in 'our' room. Breakfast is excellent, with proper coffee and served in the pretty conservatory. It is a bit out of the way but that adds to its charm. The Acorn Inn is very good for dinner. Beautiful lounge and a cosy bar where snacks are available.

Cons:

Dinner in the restaurant is very much 'special occasion', therefore if like us you are staying for a few days it would not be suitable. Food is excellent and well presented but almost old fashioned nouvelle cuisine - extremely small portions!
Its a shame that lunch is no longer served in the swimming pool area.

Probably one of the best Hotel experiences I have had.
Pros:

There was nothing not to like!
Best of all was the genuine welcome and over and above helpful and interested Staff. The Dining experience was outstanding. It was my wife’s birthday and they gave her lovely treats to mark the occasion.

Cons:

I just can’t fault any aspect.

All very good, we had a fantastic stay. You need a car for trips to coast etc.. A little expensive compared to equivalent standard accommodation.

A real treat in the most beautiful place.
Pros:

Exemplary! It is impossible to find fault with this place. It is so well run with lots and lots of very friendly staff. Everything is an exceptionally high standard. The spa and pool is absolutely lovely. The gardens are beautiful. The service is incredible and the food is out of this world. It is a real treat to stay there and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are spacious really comfortable and you’re every need is catered for.

Was good but not what expected
Pros:

It was okay I can’t say excellent, was expecting more from place like that. Photos looks amazing, on real situation a bit disappointed. Breakfasts was good, dinner absolutely not, no choice what to order I think just steak will be going well, price very expensive for dinner and rooms. Was massive spider web in the corner next to bed and one night this massive spider came out spoil our night.

Cons:

Spa was okay, massage really good, pedicure to expensive for that quality, the instruments not sharp enough and looks like was being used by previous clients. Breakfast good and electric charging it’s massive plus.

Geniale Adresse... hatten ein tolles Zimmer im Nebenhaus mit einer Terrasse... Service top, Frühstück genial englisch, die Anlage ist traumhaft, das Restaurant vorzüglich, die Bar hat noch nach 22h Käse und Getränke serviert...

A beautiful experience. One of our favourite stays. Cant wait to return.
Pros:

Beautiful, clean and wonderfully decorated. The afternoon tea was stunning, the best scones we’ve had! The staff were exceptionally attentive, so friendly and polite.
