Værelset var stort og rent. Sengene var gode. Hotellets café var virkelig god! Tiny Wave serverede også god mad.
Udendørspoolen var ikke klar, da vi ankom til hotellet. De havde en pool under overdækning som var klar, men den var kold og området omkring var beskidt. De lovede, da vi ankom, at udendørspoolen var klar i morgen. Det var den ikke, men i morgen ville den være det. Det var først, da jeg sagde at vi ønskede at tjekke ud før, hvis poolen ikke var klar, så blev den pludselig klar. Vi valgte ikke at spise den morgenbuffet, vi havde tilkøbt, da vi havde problemer med maverne, da vi ankom og meget af maden stod uopvarmet og det virkede ikke som om de fyldte op. Vi turde ikke tage chancen med vores helbred ved at spise dernede, så vi spiste dejlig og varm mad på caféen. Desværre sluttede opholdet ikke positivt. Vi havde bedt om at de sørgede for transport fra hotellet til Abra, men da bilen kom, kunne vores kufferter ikke engang være der. De ville have at et barn skulle sidde med krydsede ben i over en time til 4500 pisos. Det gjorde mig rasende! Det kan godt være at børns sikkerhed ikke er højt prioriteret på Philippinerne, men det er det i Nordeuropa. De “troede” at vi havde små kufferter, men deres personale gjorde rent på vores værelse hver eneste dag og så størrelsen på vores kufferter. Heldigvis var chaufføren var sød og venlig, så han fik gjort stemningen god igen.
We stayed for 4-day for a seminar-workshop activity in the Big Mahala function hall. Big thanks for the helpful team who accommodated us, Sir Rio, Sir Jeff, Sir Lemuel and the whole banquet team thank you so much! The event was this successful because of their help especially behind the scenes. From adjusting to the time, demands, and other favors, they are always available. And of course to Ma’am Isabel for always ensuring that everything is in accordance. Maraming salamat, Santiago Cove!
I had a fantastic stay at Santiago Cove! While the beachfront location and comfortable rooms were lovely, it was the staff who made the experience truly special. The service quality was flawless. Every staff was polite, attentive and always ready to help with a positive attitude. Shout out to Sirs Rio, Jeff, and Lemuel for making my stay a home away from home. Highly recommended!!

Have only been here 2 days and the staff has been monumental in setting us up (8) last minute and ensuring all of our needs have been taken care of. To only make things better Khrystal, Wendy, and Von at the front desk instantly provided us an additional room for our inbound family within minutes of their arrival which has only made our stay even better.

I stayed for a night at Santiago Cove with my family and I have to say that we had a great time. Impeccable hospitality and service. In the morning really good buffet breakfast. The shena receptionist was very nice and helpful to everything. I hope to go back next year.
Santiago Cove Hotel offers a beachfront location with friendly staff, making it a decent option for a countryside escape though it falls short of true 3-star standards. During our 5-night stay, I found both notable strengths and areas needing attention.
The Good: The staff throughout including front desk, restaurant, and housekeeping were exceptionally warm, respectful, and accommodating. Our air-conditioned room was clean with a pleasant balcony view, and the restaurant offered a reasonable variety of Filipino and Western dishes. The property includes amenities like a pool and outdoor patio/bar area for breakfast.
The Disappointing: The beachfront, which should be the hotel's main attraction, is marred by unpleasant odors and visible dirt. The room lacked basic bathroom essentials (shampoo, conditioner, hand soap), and only bath towels. No hand towels were provided. More concerning are maintenance issues like caulking around shower tiles and the bathroom vanity appears dirty and neglected, and the white strips on the stairs leading to the restaurant are confusing and potentially hazardous. Putting a proper yellow caution markings would be much safer.
Bottom Line: Santiago Cove works as an affordable, no-frills place to sleep in the provinces, and the hospitality is genuinely excellent. However, basic upgrades in cleanliness, bathroom amenities, and safety markings would justify a higher rating.

The staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough to help make my stay comfortable and enjoyable. Especially Gonar Lorenzo who helped us.
