Tolle Lage und super freundlich.

Es war einfach klasse 🥰gern kommen wir wieder! Super nettes und herzliches Personal! Haben tolle Ausflugtipps bekommen und die Küche .....war einfach fantastisch .....wir hätten den Koch am liebsten mit nach Hause genommen 😂👌 alles in allem einfach perfekt !

Very clean. Loved the cow theme. Had a backside patio that looked up a mountain. The restaurant was beautiful with an even better view. I had to get up early for travel and the staff made me a lunch to-go because I would miss breakfast.

I stayed here for one night and I am very pleased with this hotel. The service is very accommodating, I had to leave for an early train the next morning and would miss breakfast, so they made me a lunch bag!

Rooms were perfectly adequate, I love the cow theme.

They have a back patio that is at the base of a large hill/mountain with beautiful nature and cows to see. On the other side in the restaurant (picture), there is a beautiful view of the mountains.

Transport to and from here can be tricky if you have early/late days or are balling on a budget. I ended up walking from Interlaken Ost (1.7 miles) past Harder Kulm funicular on arrival and had to request two Ubers to get back to Interlaken Ost the next morning for a 5am train to Zurich. But it’s only a 5-10 minute drive.

Location, staff and the food

I was disappointed by my stay due to a clear discrepancy between the photos on Booking.com and the actual room. While the room was usable, it was significantly less comfortable and less appealing than expected based on the listing.

When I raised this issue with the owner, he acknowledged that the photos did not fully reflect the room. However, the only solution offered was to pay an additional CHF 50 per night for an upgrade, which I did not find appropriate given that the issue relates to the accuracy of the listing rather than my booking choice.

The discussion was somewhat frustrating, as my concern about the discrepancy was dismissed with arguments about the room size and the presence of certain amenities (such as a coffee machine), which were not the source of the problem. The owner also stated that the room was clean, which did not correspond to its actual condition.

Overall, I did not feel that a genuine effort was made to address the situation or to ensure a satisfactory experience.

I would advise future guests not to rely solely on the photos when booking, as the room may differ significantly from what is presented.

The location was nice and the breakfast was good. However, my stay was strongly impacted by the discrepancy between the advertised photos and the actual room.

The overall experience at the hotel and the surrounding area was excellent. The staff were very kind and helpful. The view from the room towards the mountains was beautiful. The restaurant — for breakfast, lunch, and dinner — was of excellent taste and quality; there is true art in that kitchen. The hotel is located in a place that allows very close walks to observe both Lake Brienz and Burgseeli and appreciate the beauty of the area. It is also conveniently located to easily take the bus to other places. I would like to come back with my family.
