The hosts couldn't do enough for you and the food was great 👍
Lovely staff and the breakfast was excellent, quirky old building with wonky floors but great location, the staff were great and all the food was excellent.
The landlord and lady, Lisa and Aaron and their staff are the nicest and welcoming as I've ever met, very obliging, and couldn't do enough for our elderly mother and our two little dogs and ourselves. Just brilliant.
Absolutely nothing at all
The decor the food the staff
Absolutely nothing
Friendly, great spot.
Fan in shower needs a clean, Mattress could be better.
Great location, lovely staff.
location great, didnt have breakfast
room was dark and dingy, coffee area dark at night poor set up, bathroom new, shower tray filled up to top when having a shower so had to stop to let it drain away, no mirror in bedroom to use hair dryer with, which there wasnt one. in bar area nice and warm comfortable, noticed dogs in eating areas which i think they should be in a seperate dinning area. staff freindly, but we noticed no hand washing, seeing to fire, stroking dogs, rubbing hand on carpet, rubbing nose then serving food. knives and forks on table all time for others to mess with sneeze on etc, never once rinsed cloth that they cleaned tables with, just a spray then cloth went on side. i never complain but, it didnt suit me, dog lovers ideal hotel and location.
The loverly staff were welcoming .couldn't do enough.the breakfast option of sml or lge great idea .and beverages with it not just tea coffee but latte etc to name just 1.the hotel leaflet was informational on everything I could think of .loverly back room. Set out with high chairs tables .front like a traditional pub.very warm and welcoming .amenities in village boots fish and chip Chinese. Coop .boots .everything.
12 bus to Scarborough stop just below pub hotel
Nothing
Room great. Large and well equipped. Loved the bath tub. Good traditional breakfast freshly cooked.
Would have given 10 rather than 9 but the church clock chimed every 15 minutes through the night. Started as a nice bit of village ambiance but quickly became annoying. Not the property’s fault but would mean we would not rebook.
The staff were ultra friendly and accommodating
It’s not advertised that there are lots of stairs to get to your room
The Staff were great, on site parking, food was nice.
The heating was off in the room. The radiator behind the bed headboard didn't work. The large electric radiator next to the entrance door didn't work and the plug was damaged. The electric kettle didn't turn off after boiling. There was a small electric heater that did work however it wasn't sufficient to heat this large Room. I raised the matter and they kindly gave us another small heater which was unservisable and didn't work. No heating in the toilet shower facility. When I turned the shower on the water leaked down the side of the wall and the shower basin filled up with other people's hairs. We booked a room at cost with a garden view and we had a view of a noisy main road. We reserved a table for dinner this was away from the bar however it was cold. I asked if they could light the fire however the staff said they couldn't because they couldn't monitor the amount of logs used.
Lovely people, special mention to Lisa who served me up a breakfast with enough sausage, eggs, bacon, black pudding etc, etc to dink a Battleship 😁. All the staff couldn't do enough to help, great job guys 👍.
I was staying there for a few days to go Mountain biking & whilst the room was small, it was perfect for me to crash out at the end of the day, so it's not really something that I didn't like but just thought I'd mention it, if all you want is base to explore from it's ideal.
