Noisy room, fairly comfortable but wouldn’t stay again.
Pros:

The property was in a pretty village location opposite the church.

Cons:

The ‘suite’ we booked was definitely not a suite. There was a bath in the bedroom simply because the bathroom was the size of a cupboard. The room was very noisy until gone midnight as the bar was directly below the room.

Really friendly place with excellent food
Pros:

The staff were really friendly and the food was lovely.

Cons:

We didn't like the room we were allocated at the top of steep stairs and struggled getting hot water.

It’s ok for one night!
Pros:

The staff at check in were friendly, the waiting on staff were lovely, the parking is fine and the location is good

Cons:

The room standard was mixed, they are doing it up but the finish is not great for over £100 a night, the food is not great and we were told breakfast was 8.30 - we waited around till 8.55 and gave up - no staff around, no answer on the ‘emergency’ phone number

A good base for the area
Pros:

The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The meals were great and the room was clean and comfortable. There was plenty of parking space and it was a convenient base to explore the local area.

Cons:

There were two flights of steep stairs to our room which were difficult to navigate with luggage. The staff gave their apologies about the stairs and they did offer to help us with the luggage, which was very kind of them.

Really good staff , wouldn’t go back

Ultimately we had a good stay for the one night we were there . The staff were lovely and my husband really enjoyed the

Bedroom was lovely but bed too low and soft
Few snagging issues with regards decor but other than that was good

Cons:

Although the staff and breakfast were really good the breakfast service was unfortunately very slow as we waited over 45 minutes for ours ( there was only 3 before us )

Great camaraderie amongst guests laughing at the farce of breakfast
Pros:

Sheets and bathroom was clean

Cons:

The room was small and the floor was sloping. This made sleeping difficult since the angle of head was downwards. Walls extremely thin - could hear all conversations from next room. Steep stairs to room. Kettle would have been classed as dangerous since had to place on floor beside bed due to short cord. Kept banging head on TV. Not sure how you would have used the hair dryer- lying on floor??Breakfast was a bit like faulty towers! No initial sign of staff, went round bar to find coffee cups, no knives so people spreading toast with spoons, very basic cereals, eggs Benedict served without ham, scrambled egg like rubber bullets.

Didnt stay we left due to bad smell in rm

Cons:

Checked in couldnt stay room smelt really bad of damp ive just completed chemotherapy and radio therapy and have low immune system to stay in that condition
