As I booked the room for 1 day , I had extended my stay for 4 night . So guys you can understand that Janeria is the value for money
Great
Breakfast was good
Location
The rooms were neat (as on the pictures), breakfast was ok (not a big selection, but what they had was good) and we liked the location.
Arrival and the first few days of our stay were pleasant.
After 3 days, we were out of toilet paper and asked why they never checked the rooms. They answered because we didn’t leave the keys at the reception (which they did not tell us about) and also „because if something were to happen it would be their fault“. I interpreted this to mean they are afraid of their cleaning staff stealing…anyway we took all our valuables with us, left the key and in the afternoon the room was fresh again.
On the last night the nightmare began:
They told us their credit card terminal was broken and we were supposed to pay cash. At this point it was 10pm so we planned to go to the atm in the morning before our taxi was supposed to leave for the airport at 10:30. The next morning we unfortunately had to learn that none of the atms close to the hotels worked for our cards (which we didn’t expect at all as we had taken out cash many times in India before). Already being a bit stressed about our taxi arriving soon we went back to the hotel suggesting we pay via PayPal. The receptionist became very agitated saying the don’t have PayPal and we would have to pay everything now - so we should come with him to the atm again. We said we tried four different ones, it didn’t work and we would give him a deposit of the money we had left and transfer the rest once we were in the taxi as it takes a while to manage it from a European bank. Fast forward, we were trying everything, ARGUING FOR AN HOUR and when we expressed how badly we had to leave because of our flight they LOCKED THE GATE so we physically could not leave!! TEARS WERE FLOWING at this point…
At the end we used PayPal to transfer to the receptionist personally (as the hotel didn’t have PayPal) and they finally let us go…
I do understand the pressure of the receptionist being responsible for such a sum of money…but keep in mind they of course had our passport copies and credit card details, so this reaction was absolutely unprofessional and we left feeling extremely distressed.
Nothing
The approach, bad parking, room without furniture, no lobby, no restaurant for ala carte. And for the amount I could have all these at Shillong.
I was fooled into believing that the guest rating are trustworthy.
It's a very poor facility good for ₹2000/- per room per night.
The rooms and the facilities were excellent. The stay was quite comfortable and overall, it was extremely clean. We loved the interiors. The breakfast was nice and the staff were cordial.
There was another large group of guests who stayed across different rooms in the hotel. They were extremely inconsiderate and kept making loud noises late into the night (till around 2:30-3 am). This affected our sleep and we couldn't relax much in spite of the hotel being very cozy. We were all tired after a long day of sightseeing and wanted to have a good sleep before the next long day of sightseeing. My parents are seniors and they also couldn't have good sleep because of the noise. I understand that it's not the hotel's fault that those guests behaved the way they did and the hotel staff would like to be cordial to all their guests. We just wish that the hotel staff were more strict in enforcing quiet hours during the night.
nothing
orrible breakfast, and rate is too high for its worth
Breakfast was good and so is the Ambience.
Do take a room with breakfast because they offer a buffay which is good in taste and variety.
It is quite far from police bazaar especially because the hotel is on hills. So one has to climb a lot to explore the local police bazaar
Staff are very cordial and helpful
Nothing as such

Did not have a heater in the room
Breakfast was nice. Location is in narrow street.
They charged for every facility, normally considered to be included in room rent like drinking water, room heater etc. Hotel is rated as four star by booking.com but it is nowhere near it. Never recommend to anyone. Rent charged as five star, but is far from reality to think it as five star.
Rooms were neat and clean, provided extra bedding and heater on request. Dinner we ordered was good and provided hot, enjoyed it. Complimentary Breakfast was ok ok.
The approach to this hotel is very narrow and road is downwards, difficult for big vehicles to be parked so we had to park our vehicle somewhere out.
Room and location was very good.
Staffs were very polite and helpful.
View from roof top dining area was also nice.
