After checking in, the manager showed me another booking FOR THE SAME DAY made in my name on Booking.com. I had absolutely no trace of this booking ever made, either in my account or in the history of my emails. I was unable to contact Booking.com because the AI system insisted on obtaining the pin - which obviously I did not have, since I had no trace of this reservation. I tried to call, but the local number could only speak in Italian, which I do not know.I tried the UK number- but my roaming credit ran out after long preliminary talk before I even got an agent. The hotel insisted that i must pay for both bookings! In the end I decided to try and cancel the only booking I had access to - the BOOKING.com message said that there would be no charge but the hotel still charged me a (reduced) amount because the room was unused and they had taxes and costs to pay. I still do not know how this booking appeared in the hotel system but not on my account, and I had no idea where it came from.
The second problem is being able to contact Booking.com in such a situation- the AI service is dreadful, the contact options are impossible and do not take into the account that you are almost always travelling and only have a roaming option, and may not speak the local language.
I need a response to this!

Nice hotel with welcoming staff for a fair price
Pros:

The staff was really good, especially Stefan, that even helped me a bit train my German :)

Everything was new and felt really nice.

The hotel itself was comfortable and we really liked it, it was good value for money, compared to other hotels in the area that were more expensive significantly.

Cons:

Scrambled eggs at breakfast cost extra 4€ per portion!
We came prepared because we read the reviews on booking that were warning about this.
We still think this is a bit strange as this is not common in other hotels we’ve been to.

Pros:

Hotel bonito, bem decorado, com espaços de convivência muito agradáveis. Localização muito boa para fazer diversos passeios. Perto de alguns restaurantes. Varanda com vista para as montanhas! Café da manhã com poucas opções (sem ovos mexidos, e o ovo cozido era frio), mas os itens sempre frescos.

Cons:

Da rispidez dos funcionários. Das toalhas dd banho, pequenas, finas, duras, não condizem com o hotel. Edredons pequeninos, travesseiros moles, buraco na emenda dos 2 colchões. No wc falta local para itens de higiene pessoal. Também faz falta um frigobar.

Cons:

Pool und Sauna hatte zwei Stunden offen und musste vorher gegen Gebühr gebucht werden, wurde von jemand anderen zwei Stunden gebucht. „Steht online und auf dem Zimmer“ - auf dem Zimmer keinerlei Info dazu, keine Gäste Info Nix, online nur auf der Webseite, als ob ich Zeit habe die Webseite anzuschauen. Und dann Regelt es anders, dass in den Bereich mehrere rein können und nicht nur eine einzige Partei.
Frühstück für italienische Verhältnisse okay.

Hotel moderno, con staff cordiale, ottima colazione e posizione. Ottima qualità prezzo.

Cons:

Camere non insonorizzate, senza bidet. Nel balcone il separatore è basso quindi c’è poca privacy.
