einfach traumhaft, wie im paradies! wunderschöner garten, man kann vögeln beobachten, hört natur, und kann extrem gut entspannen! ich habs sehr genossen :)

Pros:

Muy lindo el lugar y con áreas comunes cómodos. Personal amable y comida rica. Las duchas son preciosas. La habitación compartida es simple pero tiene para dividir un poco los espacios.

Cons:

No me gustó que en la zona común no te dejaran llevar tus propias cosas para comer. Por lo que es imposible cocinar. Me pareció que la habitación compartida estaba muy repleta de camas y muebles.

A labour of love
Pros:

A beautiful place, so well maintained and with such attention to detail. You can tell this place has been a labour of love. Very practical too for onward travel/ excursions etc. the gardens are just spectacular and it was so nice to be able to relax in them for a few days and listen to the sounds of nature. Beds are comfy and very pretty. I really liked El Remate too, a really peaceful little spot with a great hiking trail nearby

Great setting and food
Pros:

Four nights of great surroundings, great breakfasts and dinners, a good bungalow.
If you want to go to Tikal during the day (not very early or late), Gardenia’s Travel in the village can arrange that. You can also go to Tikal from El Remate and return to Flores, an easy way to make the transfer that we didn’t know about.

And to get to El Remate from the airport, don’t believe the guys at the exit trying to sell you a Q100 seat on what they call a “collectivo”. it’s really just an expensive shared shuttle. Instead, if daytime, walk across the road, turn left to the second bench, and every 20
-30 minutes passes a Q25 bus with El Remate on the front . And for the same price, you can return on a real collectivo to Flores airport, or ask to be dropped off at the Maya Mall and walk across the causeway into Flores.

Cons:

Only the owners speak any English, as typical in Guatemala. We would have appreciated chatting with them a bit , but when around, they’re always busy.

Pros:

Het was een super mooie guesthouse met zalige bedden en lakens! Warme douche!
We werden goed geholpen met al onze vragen!
Lekker eten!

Cons:

El remate ligt ver van het eiland Flores. We moesten 's ochtends een dure privé taxi nemen aangezien onze shuttle bus enkel via Flores vertrekt om 6 am. Met de locale bus geraak je er dus niet op tijd.
Verder zijn er weinig restaurants in de buurt maar het eten bij Alice is wel heerlijk.

Nous n’avions pas envie de repartir tellement l’endroit est apaisant et magnifique. Les propriétaires sont accueillants

Endroit très agreable, très bien entretenu et co fortable avec des proprios super sympas! Idéal pour etre au calme et se reposer apres avoir découvert les environs.

I didn't like not getting timely communications and reassurance that I'd be picked up at the airport as I was coming in quite late in the evening.

El sitio es precioso, la gente muy amable, ambiente cálido…

Cons:

Las duchas podían mejorarse, no tenían colgadores por ejemplo. Cuando hacia mal (fue nuestro caso) se agradecía el agua un poco más caliente (la ducha estaba a cielo abierto). Los cuartos no tenían sitio para colgar cosas o una basura…
La comida estaba realmente buena pero nos pareció cara…

Oase der Ruhe und Erholung am Rande des Dschungels
Pros:

Traumhafter tropischer Garten, Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und liebevoll gestaltet, inklusive wilde Tierwelt ( Besuch von Brülllaffen!) wir konnten im Dorm problemlos auf das untere Bett wechseln, danke nochmals Alice!
Eine Oase der Ruhe und Erholung am Rande des Dschungels. fantastische Sonnenuntergänge am See, Küche und MA sind gut, top WiFi

Cons:

An 2 Tagen gab's tagsüber massiv Kettensägengeheul aus der Umgebung, hat leider die wunderbare Ruhe sehr gestört, dafür kann aber das Guesthouse nichts!

Beatiful nature and kind staff
Pros:

I really like the immersion of nature and wildlife of the location. The bedrooms were very comfy and well designed given the humid climates. The hostel is very accommodating and the staf really kind.

Cons:

The one caveat is that you are unable to cook food, while the resturant menu is very nice, when staying on a budget it is not easy or convenient save on food.
