The property is beautiful. We stayed 6 nights and would have stayed longer! Our cabin was the oldest one and the bathroom was rather lacking but was made up for by the lovely private patio that opened directly onto the lake’s edge. Housekeeping was immaculate.
Breakfast and dinner are provided and very good
Pool was cleaned daily. Most people swam in the lake which is warm.
Highly recommended
The bathroom was cramped with a toilet the size of a preschool one, positioned so close to the wall that any one over 5’8 has to turn sideways to sit on it. However the two original cabins are due for demolition this year so no longer an issue . I hope they can preserve the patio. The other accommodation is modern and very attractive
Wonderful place, all staff was very fun kind professional and helpful, delicious 3-course meals and drinks included, offer great tours, all of this for good prices. Our driver Byron made our trip to tikal and back to flores as smooth as possible. He was a pleasant person (and driving style) to be around. And we had the best travel experience during our stay in Guatemala (you probably know by now that the rides here can be rough). The tikal guide that Gringo Perdido arranged was also very fun and skilled in his profession, Ariel.
We loved the swim and chill spots. Kayaking during sunset is a big must do. Super comfy rooms and daily house keeping. Also, they have a cute dog called Lola.
The connection to the lake for swimming and nature and great views, yummy meals with dinner and breakfast included, friendly staff and animals, access to yoga shala, bikes, transfer from Flores and to Tikal. They packed us a delicious lunch for our Tikal visit and for early departure.
Nothing.
An amazing place, secluded from the busy towns and a true oasis in nature, great and friendly staff, very quiet and calm, great cocktails and free coffee all day
The dinner included was delicious, but very small portions. Especially the veggie option which is mainly vegetables was served in a diet-sized amount... Also all tours or transports were a lot more expensive than anywhere else (reason unclear because it seem to be the same exernal providers picking you up)
Großartiger Aufenthalt. Tolles Personal . Tolle Umgebung. Tolles Essen .
It was a wonderful place to visit! I love the simple jungle beauty and outdoor living.
On my last night was when I realized the rooms are not silent from other rooms. I had a family next to me and their kids were crying through the night. For my last one night was ok but if I were there for longer, I would prefer silent proof rooms.
Amazing place
Fabulous people, food, setting
It is a little piece of paradise
Nothing
The fact that is surrounded by nature. #Beautiful. There are many cozy beautiful places to relax, some within the lake and some within the infrastructure. We were able to get LOTs of beautiful pictures 📸
They also have a big library with books from different themes to pick from. English/Spanish some French and some Italian.
Breakfast and Dinner is included, you get what is cooked. From our point if view, healthy and delicious. It goes from entries all the way to dessert.
They also have filtered water, tea and coffee available all day, self-serving.
Rooms are right in front of the lake so you have a great view. You hear the sound of the water, the monkeys and the birds. If you love nature like us, this is a great place to stay.
It has kayaks for rent and free to use inflatables to relax in the lake. The swimming pool is also nice!
All very clean! Staff is friendly.
They can help you arrange transportation and other different cool tours.
We thought the place was going to be a bit more private among the guests. The main hall where one can rest or go in the lake is right in front of the rooms. So you can practically see your neighbor guests at a glance. And if you don't lower the curtains from your room they can also see you on the bed. Like we saw the other guest. Therefore lack of privacy.
Also smoking is allowed everywhere. I am allergic to smoke, and was with my son, so that didn't help. Fair to say the majority of people didn't smoke and there were some other families with kids.
There is no division between the bathroom sink and the bed area.
There are no additional towels for the lake area. You have to request additional regular towels. And there's limited area to dry clothes/towels.
