Everything from beginning to end. Absolute attention to detail. Staff incredible and couldn’t do enough. Rooms and decor and entire estate magnificent. There was a calmness about everything

Cons:

Not enough informal snacks selection and room service if we didn’t want to eat at the Ox Barn restaurant which was excellent however one often wants to have something more of a casual lunch or dinner in the room and the menu was very limited.
Breakfast selection also quite limited due to no buffet and felt there could have been a slightly wider selection of pastries and alternatives for none meat eaters.

Sehr schön, aber teuer und dafür zu wenig Service
Pros:

- gute Betten
- sehr schöne, gepflegte Anlage
- Zimmer inkl. Dusche sehr gut (aber niedriger Duschkopf)
- Pool sehr warm (ca 31 Grad laut Apple Watch), im April angenehm
- Drinks an der Bar lecker
- Roomservice vorhanden

Cons:

- alles unverhältnismäßig teuer (halbe Flasche Wein mind. 30€, Bier 10€)
- Einchecken herzlos, 16:00 Uhr empfinde ich als reichlich spät, es gibt es kein Willkommensgetränk wie in diesen Hotels üblich. Man ließ uns an der Hotelbar warten, sagte uns nicht Bescheid, als die Zimmer fertig waren, nur auf erneute Nachfrage - das sollte bei dieser Preisklasse möglich sein
- am Ende wird auf der Rechnung fĂĽr alles noch mal GebĂĽhr aufgeschlagen, 22 Pfund Service pro Tag oder 3.50 Pfund fĂĽr den Zimmerservice
- tolle Feuerstelle vor dem Zimmer, leider war das Gas leer und der Hausmeister musste es beheben (was aber prompt erledigt wurde)
- dauernd wurde man nach dem Namen des Zimmers gefragt, das Stand nur nirgendwo
- beim inkludierten Frühstück hatte man das Gefühl, Sparmaßnahmen unterlegen zu sein. Die angekündigten „sausages“ stellen sich als eine heraus, man bekam kein 2. Glas Saft- außer man war premium Gast, dann war promptes Abräumen und Nachschenken möglich, am eigenen leeren Teller und Glas lief das Personal aber vorbei
- die Poolbar war nicht besetzt als wir dort lagen, im Wasser selbst fanden sich viele Baum-/BlĂĽtenteile

For the price of the rooms the fact that some rooms only have beds which are 135cm is quite crazy. Also they do not explain in advance ahead of the booking that the pool and spa are closed for the winter. At check out, we had included on the bill a tip for the hotel staff (such us cleaners etc) as it was specifically included in the bill, you have to proactively remove if you don’t wan to pay for it. This basically feels like they are pushing you to pay for this. This tip by the way is aside from the bar and restaurant tips already provided. I am not sure why you feel this is America now? I thought this was so rude that just because of this I would not come back
