Sleeping Elephant Beach Resort

The setting was absolutely beautiful and so peaceful. We loved being surrounded by nature and the whole place felt very special and relaxing. The accommodation was comfortable and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming.

What a beautiful place with an amazing staff. The sleeping elephant is at an really stunning location, from the moment I made my reservation everything was arranged for me. Pick up from the airport, day trips etc. It really made my stay to a full relaxing experience. The houses are beautiful and very clean, there is direct access to the beach and the restaurant serves good food. This is a place to come back to again and again...

Wir hatten dort einen wirklich wunderschönen Aufenthalt. Das Resort ist einfach top. Die Lage direkt am Strand, die Ruhe, die Atmosphäre, die Mitarbeiter und auch das Essen haben uns total begeistert.
Das Essen war wirklich erstklassig. Jedes Gericht war frisch, geschmackvoll und mit viel Liebe zubereitet.
Wer einen ruhigen und entspannten Urlaub abseits vom Trubel sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Genau das haben wir gesucht und sehr genossen.
Ein ganz besonderes Lob geht an Simona und ihr gesamtes Team. So ein unglaublich freundliches, herzliches und hilfsbereites Team haben wir selten erlebt. Man fühlt sich vom ersten Moment an willkommen und wirklich gut aufgehoben. Der Service war für uns einfach erstklassig.
Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sogar spontan um zwei Nächte verlängert, weil es uns so gut gefallen hat. Ich glaube, das sagt eigentlich schon alles.
Vielen Dank an Simona und das gesamte Team für diese wunderschöne Zeit! Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder und können das Sleeping Elephant Beach Resort uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

La pire expérience d’hospitalité de tous nos voyages. Dès notre arrivée, l’accueil de la direction a été froid et distant, et nous nous sommes sentis de plus en plus mal à l’aise et indésirables au fil du séjour. Malgré la gentillesse du personnel sri-lankais, la restauration chère et décevante ainsi que l’entretien insuffisant ne sont absolument pas à la hauteur des tarifs pratiqués. Le plus révélateur fut notre départ : aucune aide avec les bagages, aucun accompagnement, pas même un au revoir. Nous étions sincèrement soulagés de partir et ne reviendrons jamais.

Nous avons séjourné 1 semaine pour finir notre séjour de 3 semaines au Sri Lanka et franchement c’était top, l’ambiance de l’hôtel est apaisant, il n’y a pas beaucoup de chambres (5) donc pas beaucoup de monde ont est tranquille. La piscine est propre tout est super bien entretenue ! Le personnel est top ! La chambre est spacieuse avec la Clim, de l’eau chaude et un très bon wifi !
La plage est bien mais pour s’y baigner accrochez vous !

Quiet location on a beautiful beach. The grounds and villa were immaculate and the pool and restaurant ideal to relax and enjoy the sound of the crashing waves. With 5 units and max of 16 guests it feels like a very exclusive complex away from the crowds. Perfect base to enjoy the southern coast and Yala

We had a wonderful stay at Sleeping Elephant Resort in Tangalle and would highly recommend it.

From the moment we arrived, we received the warmest welcome and genuinely caring hospitality throughout our stay. The staff made us feel at home and were always friendly and attentive.

The swimming pool was the absolute highlight for our daughters, they loved spending hours there every day.

The restaurant was excellent, offering delicious and authentic Sri Lankan dishes as well as a great variety of other options. Every meal was fresh and full of flavor. Breakfast was also outstanding, with a generous selection and high-quality ingredients.

The beach is simply beautiful, peaceful, and perfect for relaxing. One of our favorite memories was falling asleep to the soothing sound of the waves every night.

Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so special. We would love to come back!

Das Resort hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Gastgeber und das Personal waren sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Der Bungalow war riesig und sehr sauber. Ein kleines Highlight war die zusätzliche Outdoordusche.
Wir fanden es schade dort nur eine Nacht verbracht zu haben.

Un petit coin de paradis les pieds dans l’eau! Les propriétaires sont adorables et le personnel au petit soin! Une mention spéciale pour la cuisine (le poisson mahi mahi et les crevette grillées vraiment délicieux)

Проживание в данном месте было просто великолепным. Отель очень уютный, все чисто и красиво. Еда в отеле очееень вкусная!! Место тихое, можно полностью расслабиться и наслаждаться видом. Очень важно отметить , какое место уделено даже самым маленьким деталям, территория очень ухоженная, есть все необходимое, домики новые! Такое отношение со стороны персонала и делает место незабываемым. Очень хочется сказать огромное спасибо Симоне и всему персоналу отеля за уделённое нам время, все было просто супер!!! Симона помогла с организацией всех поездок, посоветовала места, куда можно съездить и классно провести время. Отдохнули в маленьком раю!

A truly special place to unwind. The setting is spectacular, overlooking one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline we visited in Sri Lanka. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxed, yet the service was attentive and professional throughout. A perfect escape and somewhere we hope to visit again

Personalet er meget opmærksomt og hjælpsomt. Hotellet er flot beliggende og man kommer tæt på naturen med aber, vandbøfler mm. Maden er god og til en rimelig pris.

Die Lage ist einfach traumhaft: Das Meer liegt direkt vor der Tür und ist wunderschön. Die gesamte Unterkunft ist sehr sauber, liebevoll eingerichtet und die Zimmer sind stilvoll und gemütlich. Auch der Pool ist ein echtes Highlight.

Das Essen aus der Küche war super lecker und immer frisch zubereitet. Das gesamte Personal war durchweg freundlich, hilfsbereit und aufmerksam.

Ein ganz besonderes Highlight waren für uns auch die drei Hunde – Chilli, Norro und Boshka. Wir werden sie definitiv vermissen!

Die Besitzer waren außergewöhnlich hilfsbereit, haben uns tolle Tipps gegeben und sogar ein Tuktuk für uns organisiert. Sie waren jederzeit erreichbar, entspannt, herzlich und immer für ein nettes Gespräch zu haben. Man merkt einfach, dass sie das mit viel Liebe machen und das Herz am richtigen Fleck haben.
