I enjoyed my stay here. My flight was canceled and I arrived 3 days late, and the hotel did not charge me for those days. (Hopefully they gave my room to travelers who got stuck in Tasiilaq!) I had booked a single room with shared bath but was able to get a twin with my own bath, which was great. As others have said, the location at the top of a hill is worth it for the view, which you can get from the main lounge/dining area, and several other little spots, even if your room doesn't face that way. It's a short walk down to the town's main attractions, and I also recommend just walking around (including up the hill) for lovely views, especially at sunset. Most of the front desk staff are very helpful. The breakfast is plentiful and the lunches and dinners are varied and decent. I didn't do any drinks but they looked to have several options. The Wifi, contrary to some parts of the listing, is free and is available throughout the hotel. There are numerous areas for relaxing and the hotel is a great place to spend some hours if you are waiting for the weather to turn or otherwise need a break. Transport to and from the heliport or boat dock is included in the cost, via their shuttle, which is great because there aren't really other options. The hotel's cost is within the general expectations for Greenland and I thought it was a very good value, especially given how remote the area is and what you get for the price.
On my arrival day I couldn't reach the hotel by phone (they were very busy) so I just waited until they showed up to drop off other passengers and then caught the shuttle; I'm not sure how long I would've had to wait if there hadn't been any outgoing flights to take guests to. I'm grateful the Wifi was widely available throughout the hotel, though it was very weak and often unusable; I did expect this in East Greenland, so it was not a problem, but I was surprised it was much weaker than at their sister property, Hotel Kulusuk. A couple of the staff weren't super helpful with questions or other needs, though they were the exception.

The dinner and breakfast are excellent.
If you book the rooms with the shared bathroom be prepared for a disgusting experience. The toilets and showers are not cleaned everyday, they smell horrible and very dirty. The budget rooms smell and noisy. The staff is not particularly nice and give you the feeling you are working for them.

the tapped beer needs somebody with knowledge how to do it.
The views and the food was delicious, staff very friendly.

The entire staff here is extremely kind and helpful, they really made me feel at home while in Tasiilaq! Also, the views from this hotel cannot be beat, stunning scenery all around!
This hotel has maybe the best view I've ever had a hotel. I was there for work and spent a lot of time in the lobby/dining room, and it was so wonderful to have such a comfortable and beautiful workspace. The staff were all very kind and helpful, and the French fries were delicious.
I stayed in the annex building at the top of the hill, and my only complaint was that the wifi did not reach to my room. I understand it's difficult to set up in such a remote location, but that would have drastically improved my stay. Everything else was great!
