It could have been the worst hotel experience.
Pros:

The hotel is very near restaurants and convenient stores, a must when you’re in the middle of nowhere. It’s also quite near to the railway station so I could catch my very early morning train the next day. And it’s the only hotel that Booking.com has for Xilinhot.

Cons:

They weren’t accepting non-Chinese mainlanders even if Booking.com confirmed my booking. Good thing, I had a mainlander friend with me who used his ID to check in for me. Receptionist sleep at the desk and aren’t really friendly. Shower room was flooding. Bed sheets are dusty.
