Wonderful hotel, highly recommended!
Pros:

They accommodated my requests above and beyond! I arrived several hours earlier than the check-in starts, but because I had told them when I would be there they were so lovely to prepare my room super early for me!
Danny is such a lovely guy! He really showed extra patience and hospitality. I look forward to staying there again!

Cons:

I don’t have any complaints! I don’t love the “no nudity on the hotel premises” condition because it is a nude beach after all, so that might be an issue for some clients. But I’m okay with that.

Muy agradable estancia.
Pros:

La comida del hotel es sabrosa y el personal servicial. La ubicación me agradó, aunque eso es muy subjetivo. Me parece que ya depende en particular de lo que cada inquilino busque durante su estancia.

Cons:

El horario del restaurante es de 9am a 7pm...Tal vez los horarios podrían ser un poco más amplios. Posiblemente a algunos inquilinos pudiera no agradarles el que no haya televisión o aire acondicionado (no todos los cuartos tienen).

Pros:

Lo mejor es la ubicacion, esta en frente de la playa.

Cons:

No hay aire acondicionado en las habitaciones, por lo que hace mucho calor en las noches para dormir. Tampoco hay agua caliente para las duchas.

Over priced and staff is average
Pros:

Super quiet and boutique style

Cons:

No hot water, no music by the bar (only a few days). Housekeeping was average and got our room cleaned around 3pm every day. Something in the bed bite me in the middle of the night . Only 2 towels at the time, no TV and no wifi 🍾😠

Pros:

The property is right on the beach with a beautiful comfortable patio where excellent food and drink service are readily available up to six o'clock. In the evening the patio is lit with warm, incandescent light. The rooms are clean, bright, and aesthetically balanced with great cleaning service. Not all rooms have air conditioning, but the hotel rooms that face the ocean are kept comfortable and fresh from the sea breeze. The hotel is often very quiet allowing you to enjoy the pure sound of breeze and surf. The family of the owner is often present adding the sounds of soft conversation and children laughing and playing to the ambience. There was loud music only on a few occasions coming from the bar on the patio, but never early in the morning or late in the evening. This hotel is not a party scene. It's the perfect place to experience Zipolite in comfort, beauty, and peace.

Pros:

The location was great, close to Playa del Amor and a little away from the main strip. This meant it was quieter away from the clubs but still very close to the action. The hotel is run by a family and they are amazing. Dani (Daniel) was very helpful and responsive for everything. The food and beverage at the in-house restaurant were amazing as well. I believe most rooms have a direct beach view. Hotel rooms were recently renovated.

Cons:

This is a criticism of all the local stays and hotels. It seems that prices around New Year’s and high season can more than double. So plan accordingly.

Pros:

It was our first time in Zipolite and thanks to the entire team at Estrella de Mar, we had the best time ever. Rang in 2026 in the happiest way possible!

The hotel is extremely well maintained, we were all surprised when it was revealed that it’s been around for 10 years as everything looked new and felt fresh. The team/ the reception/ the service is A+. Everything feels easy, convenient and comfortable.

The location itself is a major plus- as the beach itself during high season can be quite party heavy and Estrella’s location gave us the peace and serenity we needed during the day. Trust me, you will need this.

The rooms are quite big and comfortable. Although there is no AC or hot water you won’t even notice this from how comfortable Daniel and his team makes the place. Since the moment we checked in, we were taken care of all the way until we checked out.

If we are coming back to Zipolite, which we will- all of us have decided we will only stay at Estrella and no where else.

Thank you again to the entire team at Estrella de Mer for making our trip an unforgettable and lovely experience.

-excelente hospedaje, hermoso y con alberca
Pros:

La ubicación es frente al mar y muy buena, pero está lejos de la zona céntrica, caminable pero algo lejos, sin embargo el hotel tiene servicios necesarios a buenos precios. No hay agua caliente pero realmente no se necesita. La alberca del hotel está a la sombra por lo que es ecelente para escapar un poco del sol
