Toll, wir würden wieder kommen!
Pros:

Sehr saubere Zimmer, klein aber fein für einen kurzen Aufenthalt.

Cons:

Da kann das Hotel nichts dafür, aber die Kirchenglocken weckten uns immer wieder. Wer einen leichten Schlaf hat, sollte Ohrstöpsel dabei haben.

Pros:

Nous avons tout aimé : jolie chambre toute neuve alliant modernité et tradition (plafond très bas puisque dans un bâtiment typique d’Appenzell) ; accueil très sympathique ; délicieux petit déjeuner avec produits locaux de qualité ; en plein centre du vieux village d’Appenzell mais extrêmement calme ; place de la Landsgemeinde (avec possibilité de stationnement) à une minute à pieds. Très bon rapport qualité-prix ! Nous reviendrons avec plaisir !

Schönes kleines Hotel mit Restaurant. Organisation des Hotelbetriebs hat noch Potential nach oben!
Pros:

Das Haus und das Zimmer war schön! Eigentlich ein schönes kleines Hotel, wenn ich nicht den falschen Tag erwischt hätte. Wollte dort übernachten und am anderen Tag, meinem Geburtstag, gediegen frühstücken und anschliessend meine Schwestern treffen.

Cons:

Es gibt keine Reception, man muss sich im Restaurant melden. Als ich kam, war die Dame vom Service so ziemlich im Stress, ich konnte aber meinen Rucksack wenigstens deponieren.
Meine Übernachtung war von Dienstag auf Mittwoch. Dienstagabend ist das Haus geschlossen und mittwochs auch. So gab es kein Frühstück, ich durfte/musste es gegenüber in einem Café mit Konditorei einnehmen. Das Café hat einen guten Namen, entsprechend waren auch viele Leute dort, so fand ich es übethaupt nicht angenehm, ungemütlich und laut. Für meinen Geburtstagsmorgen hatte ich es mir etwas anders vorgestellt!
Kommt dazu, dass ich mich in der Nacht etwas unwohl fühlte, es war kein Personal da und ich war möglicherweise auch der einzige Gast. Ich habe dann (es gab dazu keine Anweisung) die Hoteleingangstür mit dem Schlüssel zugeschlossen. Für den Checkout war natürlich auch keiner anwesend. Man zeigte mir am Vortag den Hinterausgang, wo ich das Hotel verlassen konnte/sollte.
