Budget stay, luxury price.
Pros:

The room is clean and the furniture is good. The location is nice especially if you have your own transport. If you only need a place to sleep and have no other expectations from the hotel, this is a better place than most other local options. There are lots of restaurants close by including McDonalds so food wasn't a problem.

Cons:

It's not a luxury stay. It's a budget stay with a luxury price. While the room and bed were great, the bathroom was mediocre - they keep the toilet rolls at the front desk so you have to ask them. The dustbin lid was broken, and the toiletries were barely there. There was no housekeeping, so we had no cleaning or sheets/toiletries or water bottles apart from those that were there when we checked in. They also asked for 50% advance payment to confirm the booking despite booking.com saying it was a no prepayment booking. They also took the whole amount at the time of check in and were nowhere to be found most of the time. They also refused duplicate keys if you are more than one in a room. There are lots of mosquitos so make sure you are prepared for that, we bought a Good Night machine from a nearby store. They don't have a restaurant or complimentary breakfast. They don't have foot mats in the room or bathroom.

Pleasant and Calm with great accommodation which made to rate 5 stars

Location was very near Auro Beach, and the staff were very friendly regarding the stay & provided insights regarding the details of pondicherry city

Pros:

We had a truly pleasant stay at Plutus Residency. The experience was nothing short of luxurious — we were given one of the best rooms, which was spacious, well-maintained, and elegantly designed. The comfort and ambiance made our stay incredibly relaxing.

What truly stood out was the hospitality. The staff were exceptionally courteous, attentive, and always ready to help with anything we needed, making us feel right at home. Their service added a personal touch to our visit.

Highly recommend Plutus Residency for anyone looking for a comfortable and high-quality stay. Looking forward to coming back again!

Pros:

Beautiful beds, nice clean washroom. I love that they were paying attention to the details. I loved the stay and will visit it again. It was walking distance to Auroville beach and also very nice.

Cons:

There was no breakfast option available due to less guests.

Pros:

Its a new hotel, staff is really nice, they really helped us out when we didn't get any other decent hotels and we really appreciate that, its clean, the food was good.

Cons:

Seasonal rate for such a small room seemed on the higher side, and I am pretty sure we got charged more than what was quoted in booking.com. Dining area is open, would have preferred the food be kept under a roof.

Comfortable Stay with excellent Service
Pros:

The hotel room was well-maintained, and the staff was very accommodating. They made us feel very comfortable and safe. The rooms are similar to any professional business-class rooms. The bed linens and the bathroom were spotless. Hot water was available without any issue.
Although they don't have a restaurant, they provide tea and coffee upon request. You can order food from nearby restaurants through Swiggy and they provide cutleries. The location is also an advantage for this hotel. It is very near to the beach and the main road. They make arrangements for local travel if required at a very reasonable rate. The service was excellent.

Cons:

Even though it's very near the beach, the view from the rooms is not exceptional.

Some suggestions for improvement:

Providing a hair dryer and iron in the room would be helpful.
A small café with snacks would be helpful for some guests.

Awesome stay! Lovely place for family close to Auroville Beach.
Pros:

Our stay at Plutus Residency in Pondicherry was pleasant. The hotel is conveniently located next to ECR road and near Auroville Beach. We enjoyed some of the good restaurants in the nearby area. The property is new and well-maintained, with car parking facilities. The rooms and bathrooms were well-maintained and clean. The staff, particularly Mr. Nirmal, provided exceptional service. We thoroughly enjoyed the complimentary breakfast provided. If we revisit Pondicherry in the future, we will definitely consider staying at Plutus Residency again.

Cons:

Room was smelly as if it’s a smoking allowed room. Shower mixer was not working properly and so hot water was not freely available. Also, they haven’t removed used towels from cupboard.
